On a normal summer day in 1991 at Mumbai’s sprawling Lokhandwala complex, five criminals hide inside a flat, counting a huge sum of Rs 70 lakh. Among them are Maya Dolas (
Vivek Oberoi) and Dilip Buva (
Tusshar Kapoor), two of Dawood Ibrahim’s henchmen.
Within minutes the place is surrounded by as many as 286 policemen led by ACP Aftab Ahmed Khan (Sanjay Dutt).
Holed in the flat, but armed to their teeth, the criminals are left with no other option but to fight. Maya Dolas and Dilip Buva are cold-blooded killers who wouldn’t give up without a fight.
What follows is a long encounter between police and criminals in which the western suburb of Mumbai is transformed into a virtual war zone.
