It\ s just great to see so many people here concerned about sharks. Sharkwater not just simply introduce the facts, but also guide me.There are so many things to be done and There are so many things for me to learn so that i can do more and make my action more effective. ACT from now on.
I totally agree with most of the comments below. I never knew about all this. I just saw a huge whale shark a few weeks ago, it was so beautiful. In a year, when I\ m finally of age, I\ m gonna sign up for those projects.
This film is one of the most powerful, beautiful and yet educational documentaries I\ ve ever seen. I had no idea about the global shark devastation--thanks to the bravery and talent of Rob Stewart, my eyes have been forever opened. I will do my little part to see that everyone I know and come in contact with sees this film. And the next time I go diving, I\ ll see sharks in a totally different light.
awakening! Everyone should watch this film
Hey come on, sharks of course needs help from, but they are not the only one, just make it global, save the sharks, the bears, and the human !! We hardly need to change our bloody nature, and turn it into something better !!
I\ ve been snorkling since I could swim and I could swim before I could walk. I\ ve always harbored a secret fear for sharks because I didn\ t know enough. I was doing research on sharks and came across this movie. The time after that I was snorkling in Galapagos and swimming with the sharks. Not away from them, but with the. It was the most amazing experience in my life, and I never felt threatened in any way. They are beautiful and majestic creaturees and we need them desperatly in or world. Thank you for making this documentary. It changed my life forever.
Great movie! for once, in this miserable life, someone is telling the truth about sharks. NO MORE LIES!
THANK YOU form making such a powerful movie about PERSERVING the sharks instead of fearing them. Mankind should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES for what they have done to this MAJESTIC CREATURE. BRAVO to you and the crew!!! I LOVE SHARKS and ALWAYS SPREAD THE WORD HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE!!!!
i watched this movie in hong kong and it really impressed me. I always love sharks. they are beautiful creatures but people just keep killing them. People should put more attention on saving sharks. Great Work LOVE IT!!!
What a powerful documentary. For too many years the plight of the shark has gone unrecognised by the worlds media. But now, thanks to the efforts of people like yourself, these magnificent creatures have a voice. This cruelty, suffering and destruction of an entire species must stop, otherwise man will be the bringer of his own extinction. Your film left me close to tears, such corruption and greed, regardless of the ultimate cost to the shark.
I wish this Movie can change people! Ich bin immer noch zu tiefst berührt über diese Doku, die man einfach gesehen haben muss.Ich hoffe sehr das die Leute wachgerüttelt werden und sich an der Lage etwas ändern wird.Mein Bild über Haie hat sich geändert.
Since several years now I am aware of the cruelty, ignorance and bestiality people show towards sharks and other marine species. Something must be done, and luckily is done by good people such as Mr. Stewart and Sea Shepherd. But what can us normal people do....... be careful with what you eat, be aware of sustainability and be a man, or woman, and donate to whatever you can donate to safe the oceans. Here in Croatia I see the same ignorance, if a rare species as a white shark is sighted they send the marines for crying out loud!!!! Even land species such as bear that are protected you will find on the menus in restaurants here....it is just outrageous. Jacques
i whant to save the shark . when will thay stop the killing .
Total conservation epicness
sharkwater is the most inspiering films i ever seen iv bean steding sharks for 11 years now I nerly gav up hope intill this
It\ s an amazing film! Thank you for that. I\ ve never heard about all this cruel things before I watched this dokumentation. My only motivation to watch this film was, because I started diving and wanted to know the truth about sharks. Really, I nearly started to cry, when I saw the horrible hunting. I wished everyone would watch this film, so they all see whats happening every day. Greetings from Austria (we don\ t have any sea, only lakes and rivers)
I watched this film not long ago, and will without a doubt spread the word. This show is moving and everyone across the globe should watch it. It isn\ t right. It won\ t ever be right; and it needs to end.
I just watched the movie, it was amazing. I ve always seen sharks as one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet and I believe this film will open people s eyes to the shocking finning industry and force the international community to take note and act. Thank you for this film.
On a scale of 1 to 10 it`s 11.
Thanks for this amazing eye opener - what a beautiful, sad and most imporantly educational film! It has making me understand the truth about these important and great animals. I have already an idea on, how I can contribute to help changing some peoples views. Thanks again Terese
this documentary made me realize how people really only care about themselves and not the whole other world under the sea...by killing sharks it\ s killing the rest of the ecosystem. I want to write an essay on shark finning to inform the public that people around us our doing horrifying things to animals, the sharks.
This movie was very touching, i love swimming with sharks, they are our friends, they don\ t derseve to be treated like dirt, i try and get people invovled to save the sharks at every moment i can, i think anyone who views sharks as a threat should deffently watch this movie, as it will change there lives!!!
Its absolutely amazing that man can be so ignorant of what he is doing to his own world , this has to stop now - thanks Rob for bringing this to our attention- everyone needs to see this movie !!!
I was moved to tears by this documentary, and I couldn\ t believe what was going on right under our noses. The interviews were great, and you\ ve really opened my eyes to what\ s going on. I\ m doing my speech for English about shark finning, and I\ m persuading people to get involved. Thank you for this incredible documentary.
I love this movie so much i feel so bad wen the sea shepard came to nova acotia the goverment had thier boat taken away.
Sorry i have to correct my words: I mean horrific not incredible. Sorry I´m from Germany ;)
I´ve see the movie approx. 2 weeks ago and there is gone not only 1 day without thinking about these incredible pictures. I can not forget the eyes of the shark which was thrown in the sea without his fins. I want to help but I don´t know how I can start and what can I do. I´m feeling so helpless. BUT WE HAVE TO DEFEND SHARKS FROM SUCH CREATURES WHICH ARE NAMED HUMAS.
Hello, i just saw you\ re movie and i was really impress ! Thank\ sa a lot for this and be sure i going to spread this knowledge.
I think you\ ve done an amazing work for sharks everywhere in showing us what\ s going on under our noses. Because I saw this I\ m now doing a speech for school on sharks and what\ s going on! Thank you, your an inspiration.
What an eye opener! It s quite a disgust to know that we (humans) are so cruel and destructive. We are such a problem creator, however, we are also the problem solver. We can stop the shark finning. We have to. We can t let sharks disappear off the face of the planet because some people enjoy a delicacy.
This movie was amazing. Sharks are my favorite animal and I want to do everthing I can to help stop there extinction.
Before the movie, i wanted to become a shark expert. After this movie, i want to become a shark conservationist.
Thank you so much for devoting time and energy to \"demystifying\" sharks and their huge impact on mother earth! Like many I am a diver and am very sensitive to the protection of underwater life. Hope this film will have a significant influence on how sea life is seen. Great photography, music, and editing work... the movie just keeps you wanting for more.
I saw this documentary in science class and this changed my knowledge of shark! I just thought that shark is just a bad creature, but i know and i want to protect shark. Shark is an important creature in this world.
this documentary is amazing, its a great eye opener. i saw this movie about 2 years ago when it first came out. i had no idea what it was when i decided to watch it, but after i wastched it i knew that i wanted to be a marine biologist. this movie changed my life. now i dont buy with a made in china sticker on it (which is kind of hard:P) and i dont eat in chinese places if they have shark fin soup in their menu. i also dont shop at places that have or are selling shark product.
We need to put an end to shark finning. Maybe everyone should boycott products exported from countries that neglectfully continue consuming shark fins!! For an example don t buy anything with a made in China sticker on it!
Salutations christelle.
I\ v watched this film 3 times in 1 day and everytime, I feel more inspierd.
It was really eye opening, I knew shark finning was happening but I had no idea to what scale it was happening. It made me sick that someone could ever do something like that to an innocent animal.
We need to stopt this. Tell your friends, family, colleages everyone to watch this film! Get the word out there! Visit the SeaSheperd website to help save these creatures, they are more important than we all can imagine!
It s unbelievable that this is happening. It s obvious that this mainly happens because of money, but at the same time it s idiotic for them to aimlessly kill sharks without considering the sharks population. This is barbaric and it needs to be stopped. I have talked to other people about this, now I hope that I can help.
Awesome film! Just shows how destructive we as humans are. We are our own worst enemies.
This film was amazing, Rob you have done a phenomenal job of portraying the shark in it\ s true light, a critical key to our own survival. It brought tears to my eyes to watch the brutality inflicted on these amazing creatures. We would not stand a chance against ourselves if not for people like you, who commit to bringing these issues to the world. Thank you so much.
This movie brought me to tears - humans are ignorant and greedy barbarians! I want to buy a copy of this movie for ALL my friends and everyone that I encounter...people need education. People need to pull together and speak up - we have strength and a voice when we are in numbers - we cannot allow this to continue to happen!
Thank you Rob Stewart! It was apparent that you were born to help the wonderful creatures. I m glad to see you bonded with the wonderful people of Green Peace. The world is a much better place because you re in it. This show has educated and moved me in many ways.
I have always been fascinated by sharks and everything about them that there is to know..this movie is so intense I actually started crying and had to look away. My anger over the hunters and fishers and poachers is unbelievable right now. How can they not see what they are doing is killing us all??
Just saw this on Discovery...so moving, made me cry. The poor Sharks. I hate my species.
An excellent film.Beutifully shot and a very powerful message. There should be an international movement to protect sharks as they are Tigers of oceans.
This, is just so terrible... How can they do that? We need to get the word out there, to make this go as huge as possible. Someone needs to get a giant Facebook group going or something. I looked, and the biggest group is only like 6000 people. Even the official movie page only has 10,000 - which is less than the number of sharks killed in an hour. We need to fight for them.
Humans are inhumane. Not only do sharks need help so to so many other species. This is just one example of our atocities
