Being a diver and seeing sharks in their own environment has given me a much bigger appreciation of the species over the years I've been a diver. Want to dive with sharks, just drop in on the wrecks in North Carolina…..best unguided dives I’ve experienced with sharks. Awesome! The sharks’ plight has been well documented in other periodicals over the years, most recently National Geographic did a good spread. ! I'm just hoping Sharkwater makes its way "south of the border" so that I can see it and not just appreciate the web site and associated blog.
this show has alot to offer to the public to show them how traggic things are happening out there, not just to sharks but to all forms of wildlife that is still fighting to survive on earth
This movie is just amazing! opens up to the public about what is really going on! and how much of an impact was created. It will definitely have an impact towards anyone watching the movie.
This is a true story so 2stars good graphics1star(3 stars)NOT ALOT OF ACTION!!!-2stars(1star)bad title-1star(0stars)Cool stuffs and nice exploration so 2stars. 2 Stars out of 5
Amazing movie yet disturbing at the same time with the footage of the finning. It is about time that someone has made a movie showing the truth - that humans are in fact the bad guys and not the sharks. I've always known how beautiful these animals are now maybe with this movie more and more people will get the message!!
A beautiful film wrapped in an equally lush soundtrack, it provides audiences with informative, fun, and most of all inspiring insights as to why we must further promote awareness in the plight of saving sharks. Rob Stewart's narrative guides us through the film and above all his love for this misrepresented animal shines through. It is a geniune eye opener and a poignant piece of work that showscases the powerful effects of indivuals who ban together to seek change, and showcases the power of film's ability to reach others world over.
It is our duty to make everyone we know see this movie!!
Amazing and very inspirational.
pretty good for a first movie.
Exciting and inspirational. One on the best movies I`ve seen. A must see for everyone who wants the world to last beyond the current generation.
This is a must see for sure. I feel that everybody should see this documentary. I had never realized that is happening in the ocean and what we are doing to distroy the ocean which eventually will lead to destroying ourselves. I almost shed tears for those sharks that were thrown back in the ocean after their fins were cut off. This documentary should be played on TV and boardcast worldwide to stop people from hunting sharks.
Very inspirational.
This was an amazing documentary. I was a little concerned it might be dry, but it was gripping. Some of the parts were very disturbing (ie. chopping off the fins) but I couldn`t look away. Gripping! A film everyone should see! 5*
This documentary was really amazing and it changed my life.
I am in love! I can't stop talking about this amazing film. It has truly changed my life!
Remarkable!!! This movie provides and eye opening experience into a world that most never dream of. As a scuba diver myself, I have a profound appreciation for what lies beneath the surface of our waters, however your movie has opened my eyes to your experiences at depths I would never be courageous enough to venture to. You have provided me the insight into theworld beneath as well as exposed me to the blindness that I had towards the inhumanity of sharks. What is happening is appalling, thank you for your courage and compassion and the drive to educate the world on something you feel so strongly about. Its people like yourself that make the differences. Knowlege is our power, the more
It`s an amazing film. And Rob Stewart is handsome enough to eat. (Sharks please note.)
This is an amazing documentary! The picture is beautiful. I was not aware how important the sharks are for the ocean and human life. We can not allow them to vanish from earth. Thanks for informing us about it. Please watch this documentary and share the information we learn from it.
This film was well done and brought me to tears. I had no idea we were exploiting sharks in this way. I have never had shark fin soup and will not try it!
it was the most riveting , on the edge of your seat .show i ever in all my 40 yrs of living, and all the stephen spielberg shows i saw are nothing to this show .great job canada .we love ya.
I think this is a must see movie. You will learn something.!!!!!
Amazing, graphic, but amazing! I never knew that sharks were being killed like that - outstanding film - a must see.
Necessarily graphic, but highly educational. Worth a viewing.
AMAZING!!!!! must see! it was so powerful and so well done
I had no idea!! Sharks ARE BEAUTIFUL - a must see FILM!! It will open your eyes to our most cruel ways!! If you don't see it you will be doing the world an injustice!! Please watch and live the reality so that we may all help to preserve our existence.
I thought it was a very informative movie. Thought it was pretty good and well worth it. Though it doesn`t stop me from eating shark fin soup from time to time.
Must see! I felt shame being a human. Think about what our future children will say to us!! Spread the word! Tell families and friends to go and see this documentary. I thank to Rob Stewart and his coworkers for opening our eyes. God will be with them.
Very powerful. I didn`t see any previews - simply read the reviews here and decided to go - It was outstanding.
This movie really encourged me to make a difference. I have already told just about everyone I know to see it.
This film was both horrific and breathtaking. It completely opened my eyes to the mindless acts of terrorism that sharks suffer through at the hands of greedy fisherman. I wish they had punched up the narrative just a bit, though. Repeating your message is good, and works for a film attempting to accomplish what this one set out to do, but repeating yourself verbatim gets tiresome. Despite that, the film moved me to tears and I found myself outraged at the senseless slaughter of sharks. For something that doesn't even taste good! It's merely a status symbol, and a poor one at that. Sharks need our help and I intend to do all that I can.
So violent to animals it was pornographic. If you want to see dying sharks, wounded sharks, bleeding sharks, mutilated sharks, dead sharks in great numbers this is the movie for you. I`m sure there was a message to this movie, but I had to leave. It was unwatchable.
this was the type of film where i felt honoured to have a human body in order to start doing environmental work, having swam also with sharks and whalesharks i speak from my heart and say they are gentle, kind, and loving, there was never an aggressive moment with these . bless all the people helping to protect our seas and creatures, bless them and give them all the courage and power of the universe. susan, canada
Why kill sharks in their home? I love this movie and I am donating money to the Sea Shepherd. I have also always loved sharks and have kayaked im shark water. THey are very gentle. This was an eye opening movie!
Amazingly powerful film! It brought me to tears.
The most moving truth of our "misunderstood" world of the sea. The reality of human scarring on the shark population disturbed me to tears. Qudos to Rob Stewart and his coworkers for opening our eyes. Let`s all make it worthwhile!!
best documentary I have ever seen. its a very educational film and taught me many different things about sharks and what is happening that I wasn't even aware of. You need to see this film!
This movie really made me change the way i thought about sharks. It was an AWESOME show.
This is my second favourite documentary after Grizzly Man.
Provocative movie.
Hurry up and start opening up in the U.S.!!! I can't wait to see this film, and am telling everyone about it.
This is the most eye opening greatest movie ever in all time i never knew about the shark fin operations and i would like to know more email me at macdonald_999@hotmail.com Salmon Arm B.C. #15 120-8th Ave SW
The movie tells me many truths I never knew before, the stunning truths. Although I was overwhelmed with sadness and shocking feeling, the pictures were amazing. The sights under the sea were amazingly gorgeous. I love its 'reality' feeling. It convinced me to believe this is the actually cold-blooded cruelty of human being. You need to see this movie.
An excellent educational movie. Sharks are endangered animals and need to be protected. I learned a lot about shark fin mafia and how sharks despite being an important part of our ecosystem, are disappearing and being killed irregularly as a result of man's irrational behavior. Media has a big responsibility in misleading or enlightening people as to how treat other species, but they fail to carry on their duty in this regard. People need right education; I believe movies, documentaries, reports or shows need to be produced. Museums, galleries, newspapers and magazines could play an important role in shedding light into the sharks' life darkened by mankind. I believe educational courses
Phenomenal movie! You can`t miss it!
Incredible movie, everyone should see it. We can all help, just got to SavingSharks.com and do your part.
What an incredible, riveting movie! I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with sadness. The footage was phenomenonal and the story was so powerful. I have been spreading the word about this film as it is definitely one of my favourites and a must see! Rob, I am so proud of what you are accomplishing here as you are such a great and deserving fellow. I hope this movie gets translated into other languages and viewed in all the countries that shark finning takes place because the more protesting that occurs, the better as far as I'm concerned! What a fantastic movie....superb work Rob!!
Incredible. I will bring my family and friends back to see it.
One of the most important films of our time. Thank you to Rob Stewart for dispelling the myths regarding sharks, and for sharing the importance of their existence for our oceans and our planet. Truly beautiful cinematography!
incredible.
