This film is a humbling, dreadful, provocative, numinous experience unique in documentary history. It takes a commonly ascribed demon and makes us realize that the demon is, in fact, us...and that this planet is deeply woven with mysteries and truths of unfathomable dimensions. It is a marriage of the soil, the waters and the stars...cosmic in scope, planetary in its immediate impact...beyond all political rhetoric...wonderment.
Can you please add my name for the review below publised earlier? This is a great film. The synopsis at Tribute does it full justice, and beyond this, there isn't much I can add, except that I really enjoyed this film much more than I expected. Five stars.
it rocked!!! Sharks are the best.
Bring this film to Europe. I have to see it.
This documentary proves how the media twists the real facts to produce the savage feelings hace towards the sharks. Rob, don't stop!
Rob Stewart has somehow become enlightened in a world of greed and self-serving materialism. I used to fear sharks as a child because of Jaws but i decided to learn about life instead of fear it. I learned Sharks are just animals like all the rest of us. knowledge is power this man will hopefully do for this generation and others to follow what Spielberg did to past ones but instead create love, respect and understanding instead of fear and loathing. We must do all we can to stop all senseless exploitative slaughter, before there are nothing but humans left on the earth....kudos to the nth degree to Rob and his team for making this brilliant, world view changing film...now let's all d
its was tragic to see that people are ignoring and killikng mamels for their fins. so sad
amazing.
Amazing...Truly a great film. I cried through a lot of it and it changed the fear I had for sharks into a love and concern for them.
I really want to give it a 4.5 due to the narrating, but the general takehome message deeply rooted in my head for days. Powerful film, not shy about speaking his (rob stewart) own idea. Highly recommended for the general public!
awesome....this movie should be watched by most!
wonderful movie in spite of humans
This movie was very powerful and moving since i am very passionate about marine wildlife and want to make a difference. It's always hard for one person to make a difference but if we ALL feel this way and we ALL want to do something then we really can make a difference. I wish the whole world felt the same about this situation
this movie is awsome. It's show what happens to those poor sharks. Now i'm dertermined to save the shark, bees, and polar bears. But shark are defintly the best and coolest.
Stunning. Beautiful at times, as it is at other times honestly and shockingly graphic. Probably as important a movie as any ever made.
I have been to the galapagos and have seen the wonderful life there. We must all try to stop the slaughter of sharks. Mankind has better things to do!
HOW DO I STOP PEOPLE FROM KILLING AND EATING SHARKS?AND BY THE WAY GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow
I hate people who eat sharks.
I thought it was an amazing movie that really made a difference.
SharkWater is an amazig movie. It shows the real side of sharks, not what the media preceives them to be. It is also a great movie showing how goverments tend to care more about money than what is right or wrong. Overall, this movie is a must see. It might not be funny, but after seing this movie, I garenty your life will change.
I thought the movie was so impowering and i am doing a project on sarks in school cause of the movie i used to be afrisd of sharks and i saw the movie so that i could go scooba diving now i am no longer afriad of sraks and i want to do stuff to help sharks!
An important film that everyone should see. The only hope for this planet is if everyone takes the initiative to get educated about issues like this.
An amazing film. Truly an eye-opener.
I'm so happy to see a "true" movie about sharks, finally, after years and years of lying on the TV. You did a great job during this 5 years, and I hope you will never stop to try to save them. we are more and more to want it hard !
i think it was AWESOME man it was so better than the first one!!!!!!!
It was such a wonderful film. After watching this film, my whole perspective of sharks changed. The image of Jaws is gone, and I realized sharks are such adorable creatures! MUST SEE!
I want to try and save the sharks and the other sharks that are geting the there fins cut off and band shark finning.
This movie is a must see. It has moved me to take action in my own community. Write letters to businesses, government and encourage others to do the same. It is possible to make a difference.
awesome

There is only one word I can say about this movie, and that is, moving. It was so touching, I can't tell you how many times I cried while watching this film. It was very well made and brought tears to all the people in the theaters eyes. I want to thank you for opening my eyes to how important sharks are to the human race.
very good film.
This movie really opened my eyes as to what is really happening out there in the oceans, and am very saddened to see they way sharks and other sea creatures are used for human selfish reasons. I hope as many people as possible will see this movie and find out what sharks are really all about...........I would love to see one in the waters for myself, and pet one!!! Judie, Kitchener, Ontario
AMAZING!!! It really opens your eyes and shows you a different side to sharks. It makes you want to go out and help save these sharks. It blows my mind to see all these sharks dead just because somebody wants some cash. In 2 hours 15,000 sharks are killed, thats unbelievable!
It's the start of a new, respectful way of admiring sharks. Stewart's making history and we should thank him for it.
After viewing this movie, I am saddened by the way we as humans are allowing other humans to mistreat animals this way. WHY is this happening?? It was such a disturbing eye opener. I hope that this sends out the message and we are not too late...
They're so stupid. Why they cut off sharks fins? It's an idiot things to do, have no humanism, and sacrifice a big thing just for their own pocket. Millions of regards for the people who made this site, God bless them everytime.
Fantastic eye opener! What a great documentary. I will research the next place I visit (and give money!) in order to see if they protect the sharks. It was so beautiful to see a human swimming with sharks like dolphin!!! Incredible!
I loved the comments someone made on the site.... it truly sums up what is needed... 'We humans should start acting more like animals' I couldn't agree more.
I just watched Sharkwater with my 10 year old daughter. I was both moved & angered by what I saw. The heartless actions these animals committed was shocking! I had no idea this was going on. It was a wonderful & eye-opening movie. I intend to bring my husband to see it. Excellent!
I am 7 years old. It was sad because I didn't like how they got killed by getting hurt from the people hunting the sharks for their fins.
i saw sharkwater yesterday with my school.. At first, i didn't really think much about it at first, to be honest. "Oh, just another boring documentery about sharks." However, it was just about the exact opposite. I think that anyone who watches this movie will be influenced because it is soo important to be aware of our environment. We have to pray that one day people will care. I thought that Sharkwater was one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time, including in the land of women and disturbia! It was so amazing, and everyone can relate! I am 12, and I loved it. It's a real eye opener and we should all make a difference, one step at a time. I was pleased to see someone so pass
It tells a great story of our relationship with the sea & sharks in particular, with interesting sidelines.
i have always loved loved sharks going around the world to see them fly through the water with such grace in the water. there is such stupidity in these poor countries where their only resource is a shark fin. this movie has now made me look at sharks in a different way. just it is true that if you dont handle them properly you can get hurt. the saddest thing of all is that a shark fin does not do anything for a human being. it dosn't even taste good. all it does is give prestige to an event.in the end of the film you did a really good job to show that there is actually hope for sharks. when i saw those people protesting in Costa Rica it made me feel really happy. it was disgousting in tho
I loved Sharkwater. I thought it was a great movie. Also, Rob Stewart is not too bad looking. Plus, he went to my school, Lawrence Park!
I am very upset that people would do this to a living creature. they help shape our ecosystem, and are beautiful creatures. this movie shows us that we are all equal, and makes you feel like you should do something! It's a good movie.. Watch it!
Just got home from seeing the movie. I am upset --as I was totally unaware of the brutal reality man (stupid naked ape) is operating within the oceans. Horrid. Unfounded. Sadly once again -- all about $. Greed.
