Admittedly I was never a shark fan before this movie and your lecture at the University of Florida. I am, however, a fan of keeping our planet livable and against animal cruelty. I saw the movie in Gainesville at UF and cannot believe this is happening with little to no government action. Thank you so much for making this excellent film. It gives me renewed faith in how much one person can do to make a difference. I\ ll continue to spread the word about your movie and shark conservation.
Absolutely amazing...Save our sharks!
I have had the unique priviledge of diving with the hammerheads in the Galapogos and sharks in the Carribean. They are really magnificent animals. It makes me sad that anyone could do shark finning for a bowl of soup. Who is the real killer, I don\ t think it is the shark. Thanks for making this film.
Went to watch the movie in Ft Lauderdale with my girlfriend and I left the theater with a huge respect for sharks. They are such incredible creatures it was sickening to see what really goes on in the illegal fin trading industries. Even more depressing is the fact that the governments are turning their backs to it. What a disgrace! I\ m sure this movie will bring changes to the awful destiny of so many of the sharks around the world. Great work mate!
Excellent film! I hope that is recognized on the governmental level both here in the US and by other countries of the world. It is a travesty what is happening to the shark populations around the world. Thank you Rob for such an amazing message.
I have always loved the water, and the creatures in it. Your movie deff. pushed me over the edge to become a marine biologist and try and help solve these problems.
i love this movie!
This awsome movie was very nice and made me think about sharks and how i can help them to. I\ ve seen a nurse shark and they are so beutiful and I want my kids to enjoy sharks as much as I do when they grow up. I think this was one of my favorite movies and it inspires a lot of people, including myself, to save the sharks, the ocean, and our planet. If I could judge the movie then I\ d give it 5 stars. I really think its the BEST MOVIE EVER!!
Rob, I wanted to thank you for such an incredible movie. It shows not only your passion for sharks - but how one person still can make a difference. I\ m going to take as many people as I can to see SharkWater. Thanks, George
Excellent documentary stressing the need to begin the conservation effort for sharks. Should be a must for school children over the age of 10.
the movie was amazing and evry one should go see it. i never new alot of the stuff until i saw that movie
I\ ve been diving off Sarasota, Florida for 23 years and have never seen a shark yet? Fantasic film, I applaud you for making it and taking the risks you did. You have exposed the ignorance of our race. Why do we feel that making a dollar today is good even when its costs us everything tomorrow? We need to go to these poor countries and not just say \"stop\" but teach these people how to replace their incomes with auqaculture. Until we give them a way of replacing the money, they will not stop. I am willing to go do it with a little help, anyone interested?
What a magnificant and admirable journey; documented through the compasionate eyes of a young man\ s love of a species totally misunderstood by man. I applaud Rob Stewart & Paul Watson, and dearly hope this movie surfaces in the centre of mainstream society.
That was amazing.I\ m so inspiered that I\ m going to make club to raise money for sea shepered. To stop fining and longlining
This movie really opened my eyes to a lot of things I never knew where happening. Sharks are suh beautiful, wonderful creatures; and to think that we are endangering their exsistance is just brutal. I know this movie will be recieved well in the United States, because there are some things you cannot NOT see. It\ s not something we can turn a blind eye to.
Congratulations on combining your passion with a cause that can change our planet. We viewed the film in Ft. Lauderdale and would sponsor showing it in other venues.
Being a shark lover myself...I was thrilled there is finally a movie out there exposing the truth about sharks. And I hope that this touches people enough to make a difference in our world!
Great Film. We watched it at the AMC Theater in Hollywood, FL. I was horrified at the cruelty these animals endure. We are detroying every specie, we are destroying our planet. Rob Stewart did a great job with this movie/documentary. People everywhere are being moved and informed by Sharwater.
I saw the movie last night in Ft Lauderdale. It was a great movie, I hope it does very well. I never knew any of this was going on at all. Keep on it and hopefully the right person in the right position to do something will see it.
I watched the screening of the movie last night as a guest of The Florida Aquarium - Tampa, FL. Rob, you did an excellent job conveying the “eye opening” message and dispelling the myths about Sharks. It was a very moving and well documented movie which I highly recommend. Thanks again.!
I had a chance to watch this movie today and i really loved it. Ive always had great compassion for animals so some of the scenes did make me cry but it really helped me open my eyes to the things that are going on in the world. Thanks for making such a great movie and hopefully it impacts everyone the way it did me. : )
i like sharks
well done-focus on the message \"the more we kill the sharks the more we cut off the oxygen we need to breathe\" you need to hit us all with this message-\"the shark helps keeps producing 70% of the new oxygen the world breathes-without it then we start to choke off our own breath-simple equation-they die-we die.
My 5 year old daugther and I just saw the film in Tampa, FL. Walking out of the theater the first thing she says to me is \"that really touched my heart\". This movie was a eye opener and by sharing the information with as many people as we can hopefully we can make a difference! Thank yoy Rob for sharing your journey with us.
Thank you so much for helping sharks. You can really change things.
I saw the movie when you visited University of Miami. I\ ve loved sharks for a long time, and I loved this movie. Some of the finning scenes made me want to cry. Everyone should see this, and hopefully then people will stop killing sharks. Thanks for making a great movie!
Just viewed the film last night in Miami, FL. By far one of the most amazing documentaries I have ever seen! Excellent filming and music. Everyone has to see this film and start taking action! We can make a difference! Sign the petitions!
I was moved by it. I\ m a professional shark fisherman and a conservationists and I believe this film will save the ocean and the world.
My husband and I just had the pleasure of viewing this amazing documentary in Savannah, GA. We are both ready to help the sharks and spread the word so others know what\ s happening out there. And saving the sharks will, after all, help save the humans. The movie is a MUST see for all! S.O.S.! (Save Our Sharks)
Saw the movie at the Ft. Lauderdale film festival last year and have been waiting anxiously for it to come to American theaters. Absolutely fantastic film completely changes the way to view the world around these gorgeous creatures. Keep up the good work.
I saw this movie last night and i could not help but be moved. Everyone should see this movie and find out ways to help save sharks. Save the sharks, save the world.

I saw the movie here in Oldenburg/Germany and it was just incredible! It´s so bad what happens to sharks and hardly any people notice! This movie really changed my point of view and I´m really happy about it. Thank you so much!
Rob is amazingly nice and it\ s incredible that he made this movie. I feel that the sharks should be protected more and people should take action like this!
Rob came to my school and I was blown away at what is happening to sharks. He told us personally what he had to go through and how he never gave up for his love of sharks. I saw clips of the movie and i really was blown away. Keep up the great effore Rob and i cannot wait for you movie to come out.
Why the hell isn't a conservation effort (greenpeace, etc.)jumping in on this... one hudred million slugs are killed a year and I bet they'd freak!!! Keep up the good work, and count on me for what it's worth. Brayden Green
I haven't had the opportunity to see this movie yet because I am working in Korea. I am a diving instructor and I occasionally take U.S. military personnel, contractors and teachers to the Busan Aquarium to dive with the sharks. The divers are overweighted so they can walk on the bottom and I take no more than six divers in at a time. There are 20 of them, the majority are sand tigers and a few lemons. Usually after a dive like this, the people who have never dove before want to get certified and the certified divers want to go do it again. I don't allow them to touch the sharks, but the sharks do brush against them occasionally. For those lucky few, they are hooked for life. But one thi
I'been seeing and reading the whole web page Sharkwater.I feel happy for all the information Rob Stewart convey to us and I feel sorry for sharks and oceans.I was diving in Coco Island(Costa Rica)several months ago, with sharks and I know they are not dangerous;I showed my photographs and video to my friends and family and they were impressed.I understand perfectly well when Rob say "they are the most beautiful thing I'ever seen".I coudn't see the film yet, that's not possible in my country(Spain).I would really like to see sharkwater, it would be possible? If someone knows how....please tell me.(moprado2004@yahoo.es). Thank you.
My wife and I happened to in Hawaii back in October when they screened this movie. Knowing nothing about what we where going to see we sat down to watch a few minutes of it. We ended up watching the whole movie and where absolutely blown away by the horrific slaughter of sharks. Everyone sould see this movie, especially in the Asian community and Counries
i am a 17 year old home based student and after seeing Sharkwater I am more determined than ever to study marine biology
I tought shark water was fantastic. It was cool how you whent under water to see sharks. After I saw the movie, I told evreybody I knew to either see the movie, or I told them about how sharks help us. Most of my freinds tought sharks killed allot of people, and most of them tought shars where really dangourus. I will nerver forget the stuff you said in this movie, and I will always think to ban shark finning and shark eating.
I was moved by this film and have started an online petition to ban shark cartilage supplements from Canadian drug store Shoppers. if you have FACEBOOK, please join, just type in SHARK FINNING and it should be first on the list.
I just returned from a screening of Sharkwater at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. I cannot recall a time when something moved or inspired me as this as. There are moments in our lives that define us and this was certainly a starting point for me. Thanks Rob, for your amazing, incredible film and for your candid answers to questions afterwards. I know we'll see more great things from you!
This movie changed my life. I hope that there still be sharks on the earth when I grow up. I hope people join together and make sure that sharks are OK. I'm very glad for what you are doing and thank you for trying to save sharks. I hope it works.
I was incredibly moved by this documentary. As a person looking into the field of marine biology and research, this movie helped me narrow down what area of research and conservation I want to focus on. Mainly, sharks, and whales. And also doing anything I can to stop shark finning. This movie is an inspiration! Thank you everyone involved!
