Wow! I was speechless after watching this movie. I read and hear about what we are doing to the sharks, but the movie really brings the impact home. Thank you Rob Stewart!
A friend and I saw Sharkwater in late September. We were so inspired by the film that we started a club at our school to Save Our Sharks. We hope to spread awareness and eventually show the film to our peers as well as our club members. Rob did an absolutely amazing job on the film. Now it\ s our turn to do something as well. :)
Before this movie I was totally oblivious on what really happens to sharks, I had always been told that sharks are very dangerous and that they will attack us if we are in the water. But now after seeing this movie “Sharkwater” I have found a huge respect for sharks. This movie has change the whole way to I think of sharks although I wouldn’t want to swim with them I can see that they have only been misunderstood by many of us . Thank you so much for this fantastic film.
I saw this movie 2 days ago with my sister and 6 year old daughter. My daughter is very afraid of sharks but now she is saying she wants to be an underwater photographer and help save the sharks. My sister is not a fan of sharks but really like the movie. It is too bad they did not sink that ship that would have been a good ending.. I wish everyone would speak out not only for sharks but all the other sea animals that get hurt in the process. I loved the movie I have been waiting to see it for months!!
I have always had an admiration for these awesome predators, and I believe that this movie has come out at the right time. I hope that people around the world can gain some sense of awareness at the importance of protecting the shark population. Thank you Rob!
My friend Lainie left a comment earlier, and i just want to say that i am so happy that the movie is out, and I really hope it opens peoples eyes. When I tell people I want to be in the water with sharks, they make a stupid joke about how they are going to eat me, but its really the threat of people eating them that im worried about.
this movie is an amaizing picture, it really changed my life, i think that it is wrong to fish for ANYTHING and that sharks are really important
WOW! This was the most amazing film that I\ ve ever seen, and I hope that the whole world gets to see it. I did not expect to shed as many tears as I did, but the fisherman might as well have been slaughering puppies, it was so cruel! This film has motivated me to take action & write letters & do waht I can to save sharks, and I\ m sure it is making a huge impact around the world! Rob, thank you so much for making this film and opening our eyes!
I recently watched the movie and I was moved and touched and inspired , now I have a better reason to respect these wanderful creatures of the ocean. I live in Mexico in a bodertown where I see a lot ignorent people consuming these so called shark fin capsules, any other creature and living being can develope certain illneses and there is no abosolute cure from killing another living being such as sharks. Rob I want to thank you for this film it has trully opened my eyes. the respect for life, y que suspendan el aleto de tiburon a nivel mundial.
oh my gosh! this is the BEST movie i\ ve ever seen :EVER. i love your passion to save the sharks and underwater ecosystem and me and my friend summer hope to be just like you asap! your so awesome!!!! thanks for making the movie :]]
This movie is all about the truth that wasn\ t revealed to many of us - I\ m glad to see this movie and also sad to know it. I saw jars of dried shark fins in a store one day. The ones who supply, sell, buy and consume it, with false sense of belief. For survival and greed to corruption. We have a long way to change this vicious cycle.
Absolutely incredible! Great job Rob! Its an informative, exciting, suspenseful, gut wrenching, visual masterpiece.
Rob, Thank you for risking your life to produce this masterpiece. I hope that your film ends up in every theatre around the world. People need to wake up!
SHARK WTER IS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love sharks but I hate what people do to them so I love this movie because it shows that sharks are not bad but the people are and it shows what people do to sharks so thanks. I love the movie. And another thing, Rob, are you still restricted from being in Costa Rica?
Shocking, wonderful, emotional, must-see. Thank you so much for making this film and for all you do.
Rob, i\ m well aware of the importance sharks play in our planets (not just the oceans) ecosystem, and I hope that everyone else will too after seeing this film. I am currently a student of Marine Biology; my greatest fear is that I and generations after me won\ t have the opportunity to understand and marvel at these wonderful and necessary creatures. IT IS OUR DUTY to protect and conserve and I hope that your film will educate many, which is exactly what we need. God Bless
This is a well thought venture which caters to every aspect of shark\ s life. God Bless....
...just want to say thank you ROB !!! Hope this film change the image people got about the sharks !! Thank you very much...
Will go to screening once it comes to the east coast. Humans are greedy pigs, and need to realize that with your greed will eventually come repurcussions. Life isn\ t about just taking, its also about giving. Humans need to realize this. Once again, the money and greed get in the way. We need more movies like this. Awesome job, keep it going and email this to all your friends.
Amazing, touching movie. Watch it, and do your part to save the sharks and the environment.
Highly recommend this show to anyone both for the awareness it brings as well as the outstanding cinematography. Go see Sharkwater, then read about how Yahoo! has invested $1 billion in Alibaba, one of the leading peddlers of shark fins in the world. Read more about it at seashepherd.org and benthic.ca Then let Yahoo! know what you think.
I loved this movie, but it was very sad. Based on the comments before me, a lot of people are unaware of the hideous practice of finning. if you liked thismovi and what they are doing to help the sharkeys, you should check out \"Shark Mountain.\" My favorite part was when Rob talked about how once you have dived with sharks, you see that they are not man-eating devils, but creatures just like us and are beautiful, worthy of admiration, and can be extremely cute. Please write to the UN to get them to pass an international law against finning and put some $ into enforcing it. Ask you congressperson to write, too.
WOW! That is what I have to say about this film. THE most impacting and emotional film I have ever seen. I cannot believe I did not know what has been happening with the shark population. I urge everyone to go see this movie because this is really a problem that does not only afect sharks humans as well and in a very dramatic way.
I saw the movie Oct 8 and I have not been able to get this movie out of my mind since. I lay in bed at night thinking about the slaughtering that is going on and what I can do to help stop it!!
Sharks are my most fave animal in the entire world. even though I did not read the book, I have a feeling that when people see this movie they will think twice about thinking that sharks are blood thirsty killers. I would do anything to save my Fave animal the shark.
I've got the book and I'm waiting for Sharkwater to hit the Dutch theatres. I'll brng my whole family to watch it!
I saw this movie and wanted to sit there and watch it again. I support your beautiful energy to save our sharks. Thank you Rob Stewart.
I liked the movie because I liked the part of the hammerhead sharks swimming free with Rob Stewart.
Awesome film, it brought tears to my eyes. I had no idea that any of this was going on and I am apalled. Not only do the Western countries need to be educated, but especially the Asian countries since that is the major market for shark fins. Everyone needs to spread the word so that sharks can be saved before the damage is irreversible.
i love the movie!!! i love u rob stewart
Thank you for making such an amazing movie!! I wish this movie was made years ago!
I saw this movie and was deeply touched to the point of becoming a vegitarian, I thank Rob and Paul for opening my eyes more wide to the things that we do to this beautiful world of ours. Please countiue and I pray for our victory.
I LOVE SHARKS. And this movie. \ Nuff said.
this movie touched my soul, Rob and Paul are the most passionate and inspirational human beings, I want to follow their example
A truly amazing story! Certainly one of the best movie I have seen. Sharks are amazing creatures and if you are not convinced of this or if you are scared about them, watch this moovie!!
This film is amazing, insperational,it opens peoples mind to see the reality and misconception of the shark. A must see film!!
The best part about the film was the reaction of the audiance to the call to action. There were teens, seniors, young and middle aged adults in that theater, I personal was prompted to action, but what was even better was the 8 year old in that was down front who was completed distraugt over what is happening. Although my generation can start the tide of change, his generation can see it through. Our only hope is that this glimpse of the truth can make even the smallest impact.
I can\ t stop thinking about this movie. All I have done since I left the theatre yesterday is try to plan when I can get back to watch it. The only problem is, there is only ONE theatre that is playing it locally. And, I don\ t live in a small town either! WTF movie industry!?
Excellent, moving, thought provoking. It drives home, we must Save Our Planet. Thank-you for the dedication, you and your crew possess.
Amazing , Absolutely amazing .... never trust the media!!!!!!!!!!!
dear sharkwater movie i love sharks please can you help, anyone please Name: frad german
now tell me who is the real monster out and inside the ocean?you. please do something for this beautiful animal(sharks),good film
This was a fantastic film, one that was long overdue and one that everyone should see. Hopefully the plight of sharks will become painfully obvious to the general public and the international movement to protect sharks will gain momentum just like those to protect whales, seals, turtles and other marine animals have in the past. It is sad to think that after millions of years the things that bring down such a perfect predator are human ignorance and greed. Lend your voice in any way possible. Every little bit counts.
the movie was amazing. It really inspired me to help save the sharks. All of my friends and I are all trying to help. Im so glad I saw sharkwater!
i always thought that sharks were man eaters but now when i saw the movie it opened my eyes about sharks
Sharks are frends not food, Stay in school, And help save the sharks SREAD THE WORD!!!!!
Awesome movie. Hopefully now the general public will have a better understanding of the nature of sharks, and even humans.
I LOVED IT! :) Free diving with sharks must be fun :>
