Changed the way I view sharks and the ocean, truly touched me, this is a must see documentary!
wonderful movie! thanks Rob for this opened eyes movie. I hope it will come out soon in the theater in France...so people can see what money and fear can do... thanks again and keep fighting...
This movie was amazing. It is the only documentry that I actually want to see again. I came to Tribute.ca only to find out if it was coming back to theatres like it is in the United States. Im glad to know it is being released on dvd and video so i can show my family and friends this movie.
A dream come true. Thanks for this movie. They\ re so beautiful...
Rob, you are an amazing person! I have been doing nothing but writing emails to people practically begging to stop the killing of sharks, and other animals. This movie was outstanding. It really makes you think about what goes on in the world around us, and just because you ignore it doesn\ t means it\ s going to go away, and it doesn\ t mean dedicated people like yourself are either, and I thank god for that.
dear sharkwater This movie is wonderful a real eye opener for those who hate sharks. Please put this movie on dvd so I can show my family what they reallly are. I have loved sharks for over seven years. It really made me cry. I wasn\ t happy there were only one other family beside us.
i am upset cant see this film anywhere in the uk anymore
let those people who hunt sharke be cursed to life long misary
This film should be made compulsary viewing in schools. Children are our future, and if we do not educate them, then it\ ll be a future without sharks. Sure the images are disturbing and gruesome, but that is the nature of shark finning, and people\ s eyes need opening to what is happening. Possibly one of the most disturning things was the emptimess of the cinema at the viewing I attended. Only ten people made up the whole audience, and six of those were myself and my friends. Compelling viewing.
Please make this movie more available (theater or DVD). I have not been able to see it and would greatly like to...
this is the most powerful movie i have ever seen! rob you are exactly what these sharks need. A hero!
I haven\ t seen the movie but I would love to see it! I live in Hong Kong and shark fin soup is so popular here... Some restaurants banned it but there are many more who still serve the dish...It\ s really sad and I do hope this will change soon!
A group of us went to see this film last night and we all came out speechless. It is the most amazing film I have ever seen, i have never been so affected by a film, nor has a film ever compelled me to get out there and do something to help like this film did. I am in total awe of what Rob has achieved with Sharkwater, and I can\ t wait to start helping in any way I can to save these beautiful creatures. The film left us all feeling inspired, overwhelmed, desperately sad, but hopeful that this is the beginning of an amazing crusade to save the sharks.
I went to see the film today in London, it\ s unbelievable. People need to know what\ s happening.
I saw the film last night and was very moved by it. There were so many valid and strong points made; I haven\ t found myself feeling so angry and sad for some time. What also saddened me was the emptiness of the cinema (a poignant reminder about the lack of support sharks receive). I hope this changes soon.
Finaly people who actually realize what is happening to sharks
Finally we received the film in the UK. I have been waiting impatiently for weeks. Thank you so much for raising awareness of this cruelty and evil. Will it be showing in China?
Very Nice! Thanks!
growing up in del mar calif my whole life has made me the biggest ocean lover around, sharks being my favorite. I was so happy to bring my friends and family to this movie to share the love! i will make it m goal to get everyone to see it and increase awareness of shark finning.
Where can I rent the movie Sharkwater because I don\ t found it anywhere . . . I live in Quebec city, in Canada. Please answer me because I really want to see it. Thank you
We went to see this on a whim in Anchorage, Alaska on Feb 16th and were amazed. My wife and I have ALWAYS been supporters of the seas and the ocean life they hold. We have always known sharks were being destroyed needlessly but had no idea it was this bad. We have already suggested to our friends they see this movie. It was a real eye opener when my wife and I thought our eyes were already open...Excellent work.
I\ m so pissed I found out about this movie on the last day it was showing near me in November and it was two and a half hours away! I\ ve been a shark freak for a year and a half and this film comming out has inspired me further to do something about sharks.
I was lucky enough to attend the premiere in London on Tuesday last. It opened to some truly shocking practices and exploded many a myth about sharks. Congratulations to you Rob and to all your colleagues. I would urge EVERYONE to go and see this movie and I will certainly be encouraging all of my friends to do so.
This was the most beautifully shot piece of cinematography I\ ve ever had the fortune to watch. Even so, this beauty was nothing compared to the utterly tragic and desperately moving discoveries the film documented. Rob Stewart cannot be thanked and praised enough for this film and it marks the beginning of something crucial. This must be stopped and this film is what\ s needed to educate and amaze people. I cannot wait to watch it again and encourage everyone I know to watch it. It literally changes you.
I love Sharkwater. I probably saw this movie four or five times while it was in theatre. I\ ve always loved sharks and this movie inspired me to go and learn to scubadive. I hope it comes out on DVD. That would be amazing.
It all starts with awareness! Rob, you are living out your God given purpose! Anyone reading this, what is inside of you? It takes heart and action to make things change. While watching the movie, I knew that I could not leave the theater and not take part in this crusade. The movie was powerful as it portrayed real life events, things that really matter. I am fomatting a letter for the Secretary General of the United Nations. Thanks for the information on where to start!
I saw Shark Water for the first time at the Ft Lauderdale Film Festival. I was completely moved by it. I was fortunate enough to have seen it a 2nd time at the IGFA Hall of Fame in Dania Beach, FL. I cried both times I saw it. It makes me so happy that there are people in the world like Rob and Paul from the Sea Shepherd. We need more of these kinds of heros...
I love the movie i wish it could come on dvd. i loved the movie cause it send me a message to understand sharks. i want the movie to come out again! i liked the way the crew set things up espesially Rob Stewart.
I loved this movie so much. wanting to be a marie biologist i love learning about the ocean and what is going on in it. When i was watching this in theatres i was crying, it was the saddest thing i have ever seen.
The film left me nostalgic, yet determined. What a gift. The ocean and its beautiful inhabitants.
this is good to open asians awareness of the sharktrade and crush the misconception of \"potent\" food, it\ s our children\ s future we should be caring about
Awesome documentary with a strong message that was brought across.It\ s a shame to see these magnificent creatures to be diminished because of one disgusting reason-shark finning.Rob\ s The Man!Sea Shepherd\ s crew are heroes!Totally respect their efforts and as a diver,I will work on influencing more people to stop consuming shark fin!
Thanks to Rob and the entire crew for your dedication and passion! This has been a real eye opener for me. Being a diver, I thought I knew more about the status of our oceans. Needless to say, I was wrong. Lets remember not to point fingers and blame others, We need to start with ourselves. Change starts here, with me....and you.
this makes me so mad!!! Why would anyone do that to the poor little guys!! its just not fair!! It makes me so mad! I wish i could do something to help them out!
all very good points, but shall we prioritize protecting whales and protest whaling for sashimi first??
I\ m so glad someone actually cares and decided to do something about our ingnorance. You are seriously heroes.Rob, thanks for visiting my school!
excelllent well done!! The story needs telling in the right way to get the results needed.. Finning should be banned.
I absolutely love sharks. I watched the trailer for this movie and was utterly amazed and disgusted by images, I couldnt believe my eyes. I can\ t believe some people can be ignorant in believing that sharks are deadly killers and should be killed for for our greed and pleasure. They should be respected for the beautiful creatures that they are.
beautiful movie...i was close to tears watching it....certainly create an impact on me to swear off sharksfin
I work with shark fin in Europe. To be honest all the fins comes from Shark that are caught for human consumption so i don´t really feel guilty. But I would like to know why The EC, does allow to kill baby sharks, i cannot understand that, same as Blue Fin Tuna. The problem about finning comes from Third world country mainly, so our goverments need to stop that.
Sharkwater is the first movie I have ever seen to change my perspective on the world so dramatically. Even better was my chance to meet Rob in person (I learned a lot!). Sharkwater was the best movie I have ever seen! Keep up the conservation!
you guys are my heros!!! i never knew sharks were in such danger!!!!!! and now i am trying to help sharks too.
This movie was amazing, it gave the world something to really think about. I would love to know if your going to sell this movie on dvd, it is a must have!Inspirational!
Im doing a project on shark fining and this is a really helpful site. I was thinking of what to do and it came to me. I agree this is really bad and needs to stop because if it doesn\ t then fish in the ocean will multiply out of control. The sharks in my opinion are there to maintain the balance of fish in the ocean so without them the aquatic undersea ecosystem may go haywire! Keep up the good work.
hey i found shark cartilage being sold at the mall and im gonna write a letter to them and tell them to stop this was all becuase i watched the movie it has huge impact on people
dear rob i really want to do something about shark fishing but i dont what. i really love sharks and you could call me a shark nerd and ever since i watched the movie ive realized the impact.the movie was great it inspired me to try to follow in your footsteps. but that will be a long time from now
dear rob I\ ve loved sharks for seven yrs. And I wanted to open my family eyes on sharks . And my mother really got into It. It was a magnificiant movie. It really opened my family\ s eyes.

Totally amazing! Nothing more nothing less.
