i have just watched this amazing documentary! i did not expect it to be so eye opening! i had some idea that there was pathetic murdering of there beautiful animals but not as extreme as this! this movie is amazing it is def a must see for all. if you are man or woman of the world you will pledge to yourself that you will protest against these murdering low life people tht conduct such a meaningless kill time and time again thinking only of profit and forgetting about the world! sorry for the rant, but the movie trully is touching! thanks
This movie is by far the most moving, inspirational, educational and the best overall movie I have ever seen. Thank You so much for making this film because now I have become completely inlove with these animals. I bought the movie the book and I have tuns of books on sharks!!! I feel that this movie is the best documentary of te year.

After watching \"Sharkwater\" on blue ray,I was amazed of how little I knew about sharks.Thank you for clearing the waters. The visual imagary and facts were stunning.Maybe could have used a little less of Rob Stewarts speedos, but whatever makes you become one. Over and out there, from here. Greenfish66. P.S. say hey to Paul Watson eh!
Astounding, astounding, astounding!! This is an amazing film. when it hasn\ t left me speechless with awe it has left me with superlatives. I am a diver and I have never seen the ocean portrayed so beautifully, and I have had my eyes opened about sharks. Go see the movie, tell your friends. Change your world. Save the shark.
I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN SO MOVED BY A FILM! It brought me to my knees! I was horrified by the gruesome realities presented, delighted with the truths I discovered, my soul was fed by the breathtakingly beautiful underwater scenes, while tears of compassion and frustration clouded my eyes many times throughout. THANK YOU ROB FOR OPENING MY EYES! Your cry for help has been heard in my household!
This was one of the most provocative films I have seen. I cried, I shouted and I almost gave up hope however thanks to the efforts of Rob, world attention and action will result. I learned so much about sharks and so much about the mythology surrounding sharks. This is one of the most amazing films I have ever seen.
Hi Rob, My name is Julia and I am a fellow Canadian who has been living and working in China for the last 10 years. I am not sure how to get in contact with you but please if you read this you can contact me at ttjvillneff@hotmail.com Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon. Julia (Shanghai)
this was the best documentary that i ever watched! Almost everyone in Social class fell asleep but i was so intrested i didnt want to blink my eyes.. You are an amazing guy Rob for ur courage and the pain u have gone through...
this is pure passion and beauty at it\ s turest form of life
I saw this doc in France. I wonder why it is not projected in all schools. Schools product futurs politians, and scientifics. It should begin now in all schools to sensibilize and anticipate preservation in future. I signed for Longitude 181 to preserve sharks in Pacific. I dive sometimes with shark. I found back the feeling as watching the doc. It was great. I hope it will give hope for sharks if many people goes to see it.
This was an exceptional documentary, very complete and VERY moving. Thank you Rob for your courage and for going through this, however painful it must have been to witness this ruthlessness up close. That film made me cry several times and recoil too. Indignation was very high throughout. We need more Robs around. Again, THANK YOU. I am looking around to find ways to help now!
What an amazing doc!! I am so glad that there is finally a film like this to make people realize and understand. No matter how many times I see the shark finning, I still am overwhelmed with anger and completely appalled that it is being done, especially to such a wonderful species. I really hope this doc has a massive (positive) impact for the sharks. Well done!
This was the most amazing, beautiful, passionate and heart wrenching movie of all time! Everyone student in every school across the world should have see this!
Wow a truely amazing doc, I\ ve always loved sharks and I\ m thrilled to see that there are people out there who are literally putting their lives on the line in order to spread the word and save sharks. I will be spreading the word to family and friends. Although sharks are thought of that much in UK waters I feel passionatley that its time the whole world stood up and become as one to stop shark finning! Ryan - England
Viewing this film after spending the weekend diving with Grey Nurse Sharks at Southwest rocks NSW Australia with my 14 year old daughter it drives home the message just how beautiful these creatures can be. It was one of the best weekends I have spent. My Daughter put it simply as we left theatre, \"Dad every student doing marine studies should be made watch that, No Dad every student every where and their parents should be made watch this incredible documentry\" She understands that our future is in their hands.
I actually cried in this movie... how amazing-to be able to capture sharks in there true spirit. I want to do everything i can to help these beatiful creatures, and plan to get as many people as i can involved in whatever way possible! Thankyou
Save the sharks! 5 stars!im inspired to help until im blue in the face!
This movie inspired me to get up and help save the sharks! I never knew sharks were so calm and beautiful creatures. People are so cruel and i hope every one sees this and takes action just like i did! Amazing job!
This movie ought to be viewed by everybody! There should be legislation that makes it mandatory viewing in all schools and universities worldwide. Because they will shape our future, all kindergartners through college-aged students need to be the major target audience! However, it would not hurt to target the adult audience as well. I first heard of shark finning in the abstract sense several years ago; but had no idea the scale on which it was occuring until I viewed this film. It is almost unbelievable what such stupid people are willing to do in the name of greed and easy money. This practice needs to be halted; and like, yesterday; especially if we want to have a tomorrow.
if only we could as be as passionate and aware as the people who stuck with making this doco through to the end....you truly are an inspiration! an amazing doco (i got so caught up in it i had to pull out the tissues at one stage!) ill be telling everyone i know about it. peace!
I finally ordered and received this DVD last week; and just watched it today. This powerful film practically left me speechless. Rob, all the accolades in the world would not be enough to show my appreciation for your efforts! I especially loved the Chinese woman who equated finning to slicing off an ear; and thus did not serve SF soup at her wedding; you go girl! Of course, I would not have wished last week’s earthquake in China on people like her, or the many children that were killed. However, to all shark finners, SFS eaters, and especially the Taiwanese mafia: you SOB’s all deserve to buried in rubble; and I hope you get shook again and again!
Rob, your entusiasm and love for sharks is palpable. It deeply moved me to tears to think of what we as humans have done and continue to do to our world. I hope your film moves more people to save sharks.
I love sharks and was devastated to learn that they and other specices are being decimated. This documentary helped wake me from my slumber of ignorance and denial to acknowledge the \ larger picture\ and the role and responsibility we all have as the supposed superior life form on this planet. I hope it will wake many others to the needs of Sharks and indeed the Earth and all life upon it. I am truly grateful and humble to those have for years striven to take action where others who have the ability to effect actual change, have done nothing. You are an inspiration and guiding light to us all. THANK YOU.
It\ s an astonishing movie. Why a movie so awarded has not been selected to contest the Oscars?
Terrific insight about one of the most beautiful and amazing animals. Only true knowledge can cure so many years of ignorace.
I was genuinely eager to view this documentary. However, why it needed anything regarding the \"Theory of Evolution\" in the film I don\ t understand. Seemed out of place. It was a Great Film and helped me see things from another perspective as far as the world goes, not just sharks...very insiteful. Next time, please keep matters of opinion like evolution out of it, and stick to the facts.
I thought this documentary was amazing! Informative and unbelievable footage! Everybody should watch this movie. Great job!
Truly incredible and disturbing. How can we be so ignorant and cruel? I cried alot during this movie and after as well, but it has pushed me to do something about the sharks plight. Thank you.
Go Rob!! save the sharks great documentary too bad most people who inhabit this earth are ignorant and chase after the material things (money) in life humanity is doomed
Rob Stewart is doing incredible things for shaks like Jane Goodall did for chimpanzees, and Dianne Fossey did for Mountain Gorrillas.
hello good flick
i liked this movie but i wish it was more as a movie instead of a dogumtry. i found it kind of long but i think it was very imfomitive.
WOW. I am truely appalled by the attitude some of the human race hold against our wildlife. I visited Costa Rica this past winter and stayed near Punta Renas and had no clue their was illigal sh
A very compassionate and eye-opening documentary. It has changed the way I see sharks, and I felt very distressed by how they\ re slaughtered and maimed so thoughlessly by fin fishermen. Thank you for making this movie. I hope many more people will see it and create a public outcry against shark fishing so that governments will have to do something about it.
I loved Rob
wow it was amazing I just loved it. I also loved Rob he is a hotie hot hotie.
inspiring, shocking and disturbing. How could we close our eyes to such a disaster ? We need to help our planet rather killing it. We have already done enough damages, we should think LIFE rather profit. For my son, I hope we can repair the mess we have done so that one day, when we\ ll be gone, he can remember us as people who changed the way things were for the best of our futur. The best, for his futur. Thank you.
THANK YOU ROB! Your film made smile, loose fear and cry my eyes out...hopefully someday I´ll be able to be calm while surrounded by sharks underwater, and perhaps they will also come closer... Hopefully in the future there will be much more of them also... Greetings from a fellow diver and environmentalist, Giovi
Really inspiring doco, Rob was there after the film to talk to us, really nice guy :) hope this get\ s people thinking!
cela noous fait bien refléchire et peut faire prendre conciensce ke lanimale le plus dangereux n\ est que l(homme en veriter film tres touchant
Amazing!!!. Thanks for doing this. I am actually from Costa Rica but I live in Toronto now. It was so moving seeing that you made a difference in my country!!!... Thanks.
Your dedication to publicizing the terribly cruelty and devastation of this beautiful and misunderstood species is more important that any of us realize at this moment. Thank you for your courage. For your love. I am forever changed.
Absolutely eye opening- SHARKS NEED TO BE SAVED
How will i ever epay you for enlightening me to how my greatest fear is becoming endagered and I actually like the creatures now, feel sorry for them and want to stop the killers of the human kind.Great movie Rob!
Your video was very inspirational. I to wan\ t to help wildlife and the environment, but far to young for that. Who are we to determan life and death of these sharks. I would also life to see some changes, such as in the Chinease Fur Trade, Canadian Seal Hunter, Shark Finning, The Rainforest, Gloabal Warming and many more :) This is our only home...
Thought provoking and compelling. Thank you for this film and educating this decadant world the effects of our greed and selfishness.
Rob an utter inspiration! if we all simply follow your foot prints we can make a difference. Myself a fellow diver and shark lover i have started to begin my journey in the important change towards saving the sharks and the human life as we know it! again congratulations
his film was amazing, absolutely beautiful!
