This film was incredibly moving, i am so happy someone has finally done something to prove to the world how wonderful sharks really are, and that they desperatly need our help !!Rob Stewart is a great man. I would recommend this to all so peoples eyes can be opened to this true horror of what people will do for a bowl of f**king soup, its discusting !!

User review rating: 0 June 15, 2008

To all of you who aren\ t doing anything about what you saw, please do. Rob is doing a great job, but he is just one voice. If everyone speaks as loudly as he, the sharks might stand a chance.

Truly eye opening for those not in the know. This should be shown on all terrestrial networks to educate the masses. Perhaps Spielberg could lend his support, seeing as though Jaws (whilst a great film) has contributed to human oerception of sharks...whaddya say Steve??

It´s really scary to know that most sharks are about to die out within a decade. All marine ecosystems will be affected. I think this film is very important in many ways, but mostly to show everybody that this is the naked truth! People are unaware of this. To often human shows so much disrespect towards our planet and nature, but I truly hope it can be reversed, so future generations also can enjoy the sea in it´s magnificent form.

A very impressive documentary. Human must be killed for this things...We are really pathetic...I hope this film can make its road around the world, more especially in Asia !! Thanks Rob.Stewart for your excellent job. I hope we will thinking to it now and in the future.

Just wanted to thank Rob for making this film. Before sharkwater, I had no idea how sharks were really killed for their fins. (I used to just drink the soup thinking it was all fine and dandy). I will never touch another bowl of it again. Thanks for opening my eyes to this horrible truth. I will spread the word! save the sharks! =)

Hi! I saw this movie following an exam I had to give my students based on Sharks. The exam did mention a few facts but I wanted to find a video that could tell us more about Sharks. I found this video by chance and I was shocked by what I learned. Now this we be a regular project done in all my classes (ages 13 to 15, every year and I hope many young minds will change the way they think about sharks and might even get involved. Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us.

Rob Stewart and crew did an amazing job! what a great documentary. Thanks! I always loved sharks, they are amazing animals, really sad that mankind is so ignorant and disrespectful. I hope teachers start showing this docu in schools, so kids are aware and do not only learn about sharks in stupid movies like \"jaws\". I hope especially the people in Asia start to think and change this cruelty to animals! Safe the sharks !!!

One brilliant way to message the world about the seriousness of depleting shark population.

User review rating: 0 June 07, 2008

The best I´ve seen in a long time! I hope this movie reaches all around the world. It´s needed and it opened my eyes. A must see!!!!

User review rating: 0 June 07, 2008

I loved this documentary it was educational and moving. I was not aware of the great depletion of sharks. We need to have this film shown in Asia. It is about time their culture changes their view on conservation. I hope there are actions being taken on putting sharks on the endangered species list. I live in Florida were I still see sharks being fished and killed for no true reason.

Hello there, If in any way possible, please release this movie in theaters in Belgium and the Netherlands too. Maybe we don\ t live next to the great oceans, but if nothing else, we do have lots of divers who could and would support you if they had the opportunity to see this movie. (As a Sea

I useally cry like once a year, but this film really made me cry! I love sharks, even though I\ m terrified of the looks of some of them (but you should have respect for them, so). I honestly can\ t understand how you can live with yourself after doing such horrible things to another creature!

I have seen the film in the cinema and it was shocking!! I want to save thes beautiful animals and signed the petitions on savingsharks.com. Thank you for making this eye opening film!! I hope people will learn and stop this horrible shark killing!!

User review rating: 0 June 03, 2008

Amazing. So much isn\ t understood about sharks it\ s not funny. I loved the film and would tell everyone i meet to see it. The idea of sharks slowly dying at the bottom of the ocean brought me to tears. I couldn\ t help but notice many people who were talking about how bad sharks were had Australian accents. As an Aussie I am horrified! How uneducated we are about our famous \"White Pointers\". As for long lineing. It makes me sick. That segment with the poor sea turtle was so sad. What a waste of beautiful creatures!

People dont realize how powerful sharks really are. Without them our world would be so deprived. This documentary proves how stereotypical we really are towards sharks. Amazing film!

User review rating: 0 June 02, 2008

I can\ t belive how many sharks can die in a year. I mean only if you try to harm them they might try to bite you. This movie is so fofilling. I want to try to save the sharks to but i\ m only 10. I just hope that people will think different of sharks because if we keep letting them die in the next 4 or 5 years they\ ll all go extinct. I really hope more poeple will see \"Sharkwater\" and realize the truth about sharks...

( I\ m french, so bad english!) I cry during the film. I can\ t stand how people can be so awful... But I feel so powerless, and I hope that soon this massacre will come to an end!

User review rating: 0 June 02, 2008

I used to eat shark fin soup. No more. I am saddened by what I now know and ashamed of what I did.

User review rating: 0 June 01, 2008

This is truly an amazing and touching documentary. Although it was kind of disturbing at some sight but it certainly did sent a strong message across to stop the finning. Thank you Bob for all the great effort in making this documentary. I hope this documentary will allow not only me but also to all divers from around the world to spot more sharks during their dive trips in coming years.

powerful film. makes me wish i had a magic wand.

You have inspired me a lot. I am only 14, but this movie has inspired me to save sharks. This film makes us all aware of the inhumane and torture that animals such as sharks and turtles recieve. The saddest footage of that turtle being killed was terrible...

What a magnificent piece of work and how tragic at the same time. Thank you for opening my eyes to a cause that deserves all of our support. We all have a moral duty to spread the word and support your noble efforts. Bravo.

I didn\ t know what I was getting myself into when I started watching this movie, and by its end I was devastated by the desecration done to these animals by the shark fin hunters. How can those of us not eating this product ever stop its harvest, so embedded in a culture known for its lack of environmental sensitivity? Westerners aren\ t paragons either, but we have become aware, and Rob, with this movie, we are more aware of the undefended sharks, and you are the one man who has started that mission. I hope that your voice becomes a huge roar which no one can turn away from. Thank you for the vision.

User review rating: 0 May 30, 2008

I have just seen the documentry for the first time. Rob you have done a supereb job on making this and im sure have opened a huge amount of peopls eyes to what is going on in the world not just the costa ricans but world wide. I have dived with sharks myself and what amazing creatures close up in the flesh. Just wish i could do it every day and help them to survive.

One of the best Documentaries I have seen about Sharks and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be making all my friends and family aware of the situation and encourage as many people as I can to get involved in wonderful cause like this. Keep up the good work and I would love to see an updated version of other areas of the world and how they are contributing to the cause.

I went and saw it and i knew those things were happing but not to that extreme. i think the asain people and are killing the earth. its a joke if its not the whales its the poor sharks. they are my favourite animal and i want more Aussie to watch to your film to understand what is happening. I loved this entire documentary; especially the early part where Rob and Paul chased and rammed shark poachers. I was quite upset to see the poachers win that battle in the end. I wholeheartedly believe that in areas where shark finning and long line fishing is banned; those who are attempting to protect sharks from these idiots should be authorized to fire torpedoes at the offending vessels if they choose to ignore the warnings to stop their actions. Shark poachers are the lowest conceivable life form; and their mothers should have had abortions.

So hard to know that people are so thoughtless and uncaring towards these fabulous creatures. I was crying.

Before I watched this Movie, I hated sharks because, honestly, I thought that they were mean and vicious, but my sister convienced me I was wrong and I \"Had\" to watch it, After finishing the movie, I was amazed! and if I had the chance to swim with one, I easily would. Ive showed about 3 of my friends this film to, they all said thhe same thing as me at first but by the end of it all they could say is \"Thank you so much for making me watch this\".... Its just, its just a great movie, everyone should see it.
