Very much needed movie.
great movie
nice movie
I was crying. It was a amazing movie but it made me feel hollow inside. how can we just sit a hope that it\ ll go away we have to do what Rob Stewart does... DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
we need to wake up !!!!!!
We watched Sharkwater in my English 1100 class at Kwantlen University. I was touched. I went home and watched it again, and again, and again. When i brought it up with my friends, family and coworkers they thought i was crazy. There is an election this year in Canada. I\ ve made it very important to ask everyone of the MLAs what they think about Shark Finning. None of the MLAs running in my riding know about Shark Finning. If 100 million sharks a year are being killed why doesn\ t Canada do something about it? Why don\ t more people know? Hopefully Rob Stewart\ s movie will change that! It\ s an amazing film and a Christmas present i will be giving to everyone i know!
I love scuba diving, and on one of my dives was fortunate enough to see a 3 meter bull shark on a night dive in Cuba, i just finished watching Sharkwater, and I am apauled by what is happening to the sharks. I have and will spred the news on what is happening. and I hope my friends do the same. This has to change. Great job on this documentary. Let\ s all try to help in any way we can. Yvonne
I\ m a devoted animal-friend that canät stand the pain the humans are doing to the animals in the world, and in this case as the movie showed, sharks, whales and seales. How can the mhumnas think that they \"own\" the earth and are allowed to controll everything in it, how many sharks that there should be, etc I sincearley hope that someday, the people whom controll and do the harm to the sharks will understand what they are doing instead of being greed.
I\ m only a teenager, and I\ ve always loved sharks, but ever since I\ ve seen this documentary, I\ ve become a really fanatic. I\ m even going to talk to my school principal and ask if we can watch this movie in school! Rob Stewart is my hero!!! :) SOS! Save Our Sharks!
This movie was amazing! It just blows my mind to think that know one cared what the shark mafia was doing, they only had issues with you guys who were sent in to do a job. I\ m really glad that you didn\ t give up and you went back knowing what could have happened to you and that\ s why you\ ve made a difference.
If I was able to seat everyone at the point of gun to make sure they watch this documentary, it will already be done. This is the most important documentary along side An Inconvenient Truth. YOU MUST SEE IT. PERIOD.
This movie was the best that I have ever seen. I was always taught that sharks were predators, now im learning that they are prey in reality. I love any and every kind of animal, and i was absolutely go to extremees to stop this madness. This is downright inhumane and wrong. Me and my classmates have to write a business letter to the President of the United States to encourage him too stop this. At first the teacher said it wasnt going to be real, but then with a little though, he changed his mind and said we could actually send them to the President or someone in Congress. So, im trieng everything i can to stop this.
I only seen maybe the last half of the film but it amazes me how much power money has and the lengths people will go to make money, even if that means destroying nature or animals. Its very sad to see how the human race feel they have domination over the place we live in. We humans share the rest of the world with nature and animals and need to work with them, not against them, if humans keep up this nasty habit WE are the ones who will pay for it at the end!
i think its stupid that their cutting off fins.. their living breathing things leave them alone..
This is a great movie, its very touching and really makes you think, my science class watched it and it was so sad . it really wants to make me do something about it
i had the opportunity to get involved with a shark study last year, while trying to find more info on sharks i got to veiw the film, amazing!!!! keep up the excellent work!
I thought the movie was very impowering and really tought my classmates and I the importance of not only sharks but other animals that make the world more interesting. The movie also gave me the power and ability to make a diffrence and help.
i almost cird seeing their fins being cut off!
love this movie, i want to be a bioligist, for sharks. i hope people start to relizie how amazing and wonderfull they are.i think this movie will HELP!
We live in an ignorant world and we need more awareness. I cannot believe we are letting this happen to our eco-system. I wonder how someone would feel if their limbs were cut off and they were left to die and suffer. I have lost ALL faith in humanity. We need to perserve the beauty.
i saw the documentary and i almost cried. it was passionate and educational. i want to volunteer my services when i can to help out. and people can say what they want about paul watson but he is the guy we need to fight this. he doesn\ t care what people say about him and will do anything to help the situation. keep it up Paul and you too Rob!!!!!
Excellent film. Everyone should see this movie!
Sharkwater is a very inspirational movie, it has made me and my friend realize that sharks are prey and not predators. We are trying to help other people realize that there are going extinct and that we should do something before they are all gone. We are creating posters and infoirmation sheets to help spread the word.
Visually stunning and well narrated. Unfortunately, corpulent eco-terrorist Paul Watson was introduced, at which point I turned the film off.
the movie was amaizing i dive myself and i am scared of sharks
I think that the film is very important because it shows people what we are doing to our world.
I cried out loud, I shouted out loud, and I am still so angry that this happening. The human race is so iggnorant that we can\ t even see what we are doing to our own planet and what we are taking away from our future generations. This film was most inspiring and made me realize that we will one day wipe ourselves out if we don\ t make a change. By spreading the word and seeing Rob Stewarts work, should all make us want to do more to save sharks and the ocean. We need them mor ethan ever right now. Rob thank you for your work and the amount of passion that you put into it, you are one human that is making a difference, I will help by spreading the word. Thank you!
Loving the water, but being afraid of what lay below, I thought maybe this movie would help me realize sharks were not ment to hurt me. Now when I go swimming and I see a shark, it will be like i have seen one of mother natures finest creations.
I have always loved to swim, but i was always afriad of what lay below. Now when i see a shark, Im seeing a beautiful, marvelous creature, and should be prod that i could see such a rare animal (hopefull not for long). I am noe aspiring to become a marine biologist and change the world for the better. THANK YOU.
Wow.... wow. This documentary is amazing. Horrible and disturbing at times to watch, it brings to light the senseless slaughter of an animal that is severely misunderstood. An animal that we need to survive. It\ s staggering to me that, as smart as we think we are, we\ re killing our world and ourselves slowly. This movie needs to be seen by everyone.
How can anyone not be moved to do something to try and protect these majestic, beautiful and integral creatures. Where has \"our\" empathy, compassion and understanding of this beautiful planet, that we are privlidged to be a part off, gone to?
Very inspiring movie. It brought a new perspective of sharks, the ocean and even life to me. As film makers you should be very proud of your accomplishments not only in making a great movie but also making a movie that will inspire others to its cause!
the best documentarie I have seen. it was so moving. i feel like doing somthing right know
This documentary is realistic in how it shows what is really happening out there, unlike other documentary\ s that show how sharks have evolved, and almost glamorises their lives, when really, their lives are the opposite, they are getting tortured, finned then thrown back in alive to have a slow death. Rossi Thomas
Wow this movie really opened up my eyes on sharks and how they are tortured and killed everyday. They are innocent creatures and we are dependant on them for our own survival, they are wonderful animals and since this movie I have found sharks quite amazing
Loved this movie! Was a real eye opener, especially to someone who would not dare to even go snorkelling because I was terrified of sharks. This movie was inspiring, if you can turn a person who\ s afraid of sharks to a person who wants to help save the sharks and actually go out and scuba-dive to find out more about these creatures your work was more then accomplished. Keep up the good work and with all the support they are getting with this film, fin hunting should be banished and sharks should be prtoected!
This movie was absolutely fantastic and blew me away. It has become one of my favorite movies of all time. In the past couple of years, i have grown fascinated with sharks. To have a movie dispell so many myths is great. It will wake people up to realize we need to fight for these amazing animals. They save us everyday but helping us breathe, so it is time we saved them!!! Great job ROB!!!!
One of the BEST documentaries I have seen. We all ought to remember \"...governments do not make change ...ordindary individuals DO...\" -- that quote from your movie hit me like a ton of bricks! Good luck! ...and keep on keepin\ on!
Such an eye opening expereince, this movie plainly tells the facts that saving sharks is about saving ourselves. Surely we as a speices must comprehend that to save ourselves we must first save the sharks.
I love sharks :] I\ m 15. I want to become a Marine Biologist, I\ ve always Loved the ocean and everything in it ever since I could remember. This movie made me cry, to see people hate sharks so much it sickens me. This is the movie I\ ve been waiting for so I could tell people, my friends and family so they can watch it and change their minds about sharks that their not evil. Peace out.
It was the best movie I seen in years
Great job, Rob! Since I\ m a young one I\ m fascinated by sharks though (or because) I have a deep fear (which came from watching Jaws at the age of 4). This movie really helped me again to twist the image in my head. I\ ll try my best to support your movie and get Chinese Restaurants with shark fin soup on the radar! And if you ever want to make a movie again (and I think you should), I\ m your long-term intern! macerikson[at]gmx.de
I am fourteen years old and i wish right now that i am able to join your crew.If there is one thing in thi world that i dont not understand is that if these people realize what there doing is wrong, why dont they have the knowledge to stop, how can they be so greedy by thinking of the money before an inicent creatures life. You did a great job and keep up the good work.
I think the international public should stand together to boycott goods being sold from countries who are eating shark fins. Theres nothing like not buying something imported \"Made in China\" to financially & economically devastate the economies supporting the purchase of fin industry. Without money they loose the market
wow ! as far as i remember i was always afraid of sharks. i hardly went into the ocean because i thought sharks would come and bite me. we watched sharkwater in school and i swear i almost cried. it was so touching. i think i have never seen a documentary like this one !!! thank u very much !!!
I can\ t believe it,you touched a Shark.
What an eye opener!
Thank you for this documentary. It touched me and I will now do my best to inform my friends of this terrible practice and try to influence my politicians to eradicate the import and export of shark fins. Thank you for this!
As a Dive Master, It was just incredible to watch. You are doing a fantastic job, just Bravo my friend ! It`s my dream to do some like you did, don`t give up and see ya aroudn the field !!
heartwrenching and eye opening, i truly learnt so much from watching his film, i never realised how much we depend on sharks to keep a healthy and balanced ecoysystem. As a student studying wildlife conservation and having just spent 3 weeks out in costa rica working with sea turtles, my heart and soul have been captured by this fil and i make it a mission of mine to do all i ca in saving marine life and encouraging others to watch this film and learn about and respect sharks and the ocean. Thank you for making such an inspiring film and good luckto you and everyone in saving sharks, i sincerely hope its achieved!
