one of the most amazing documentary i ever seen. we need to stop the killing and save them... i need them to live. and the killing of the sharks in the movie made my cried and realize that shark is a very important thing in our life. save them to save us and protect them to protect us and save our ecosystem.
i have always been afraid of sharks, but after seeing this film i really opened my eyes about how sharks are misunderstood. it\ s such a sin for sharks, and we really need to educate everyone else on this topic and get more people involved.
Have always been fascinated by sharks. I too am sickened by the wholesale killing of these amazing creatures. This blatant waste must be stopped. The movie was brilliant and I have shared my thoughts with all my friends. One of my wish lists has always been to learn to dive and to be able to somehow experience a small part of our great ocean wildlife.
This is an important film. Very difficult to watch at times due to the devastation being caused by ignorant people. But I believe that the graphic content is perhaps what is needed to WAKE UP the planet. Thank you for making this film. I am a diver and I have been lucky enough to see many sharks face to fin. I will boycott Costca Rica and all other areas in the world which conduct line fishing. You should too.
After watching the documentary I was shocked at what I saw. For 30 years I have dined on shark fin soup not knowing the scale of damage that I was contributing to. I was under the impression that the whole shark was used and none to be left for waste, I was mistaken. I have had my eyes opened and will no longer contribute to the brutality and greed. I will be one less person dining on shark fin.
so sad
I just saw Sharkwater on HBO and I\ m so happy that this film was made. I have had a lifelong love and respect for sharks. I actually had a stand off with my parents when I was a child because I refused to eat shark fin soup. It was very validating to see my thoughts and feeling reflected in this movie. At the same time, it breaks my heart to see that sharks are being pushed to extinction. I can\ t even understand the cruelty and greed that keeps this industry going. Thanks to Rob Stewart and everyone involved in the film!
Fine little Save-the-Earth piece, despite Stewart\ s constant voguing for the camera. (Also, he ought to learn the difference between staph and necrotizing fasciitis.)
I loved it as I am a commercial diver and love sharks and think everyone should respect them! If i ever had the chance to do what this man did, I would in a heartbeat!
one of the best wildlife movies I\ ve every seen.... If you care about the enviroment this movie will upset you.... but you need to know this stuff..... watch it twice.... you will get more form it the second time.... cant wait for his next movie....
You Totally Changed My OutLook On Sharks
Picked up this DVD by accident on Blueray, and turned out to be the best movie I\ ve seen in a long time.I was amazed at the beauty of Sharks, the camera work is amazing .Sickened by the depth of cruelty humans are capable of for a quick buck.On the flip side it its quite heartening to see people like Rob Stewart, the Sea Shepard crew ,etc taken action.
good movie
AWESOME, we cant wait 2 c u on webcam!!
Such a great Movie. Very emotional. How can you not love Sharks and want to save them after this movie. It scares me to death knowing that once they are gone we are gone too. My sisters and I have always loved Sharks and now we love them even more. This Movie is great. Well done. Time man stopped being so greedy and think about this planet. And do more to preserve it for future generations to come.
I guess after the movie Jaws I wasn\ t too big on sharks but I was still very interested in them. Sharkwater is the best movie I\ ve ever seen and it really opened my eyes. I\ m trying to do as much as I can.
Thank you for this film... I\ ve never seen something like that... I have to admit that i cried when i saw that. You\ ve done a great job. You are heroes. I hope it\ s still not too late...
I Have Always Been Into Sharks And Other Marine Life. I Have Had Shark Experiences Of My Own, But Sharkwater Made Me realize How Much More I Want To Be A Marine Biologist, And Help Our Oceans. It Just Amazes Me How Ignorant People Can Be, And Not Realize How Much Harm They Are Doing To Our World!
Hi, I was always interested in sharks but at the same time a little nervous of them , I always wanted to be a marine biologist or anything to do with the underwater. I was in geography class when our teacher viewed your document. Over 90% of our class had no idea that such a horrible disaster was taking place. Many people don\ t understand the importance of the underwater. We need to HELP!
An amazing way to help kids to connect to nature. My grade 2\ s and 3\ s really got it! I will be developing a unit around it that integrates all subjects and is curriculum based!
I was terrified of sharks and believed we would be better off if the oceans were purged of them and then I could swim fearlessly to my heart\ s content. Thanks to Rob\ s doco I am now educated and profoundly changed. I hope sharks survive and will do all I can to promote them. We humans have no right to continue to destroy Earth\ s ecosystems. We are also plainly stupid to do so as it is decimating our own habitat. What will future generations, if there are any, say of us? Let\ s take up the reins on behalf of the ignorant and foolish to save sharks and all other threatened animals and habitats. It is the wise thing to do!
you are what i want to be when i grow up! even though you were in the hospital you were still worrying and trying to do something to help them. ive always loved sharks and wish desperatly that i could swim with one! if only people would watch the film and relize how we are treating the planet we live on and the creatures we share it with. sometimes i think the world would be better off if people never evolved.
Absolutely amazing documentary - I was amazed and enraged... we MUST spread the word about this issue and this documentary. I will share it with my godkids and grandkids and anyone who will listen!! Thank you Rob for your courage and your perseverance... you are a hero!!
I use to be terrified of sharks, to the point where I would never step foot in the ocean, not even on family vacations and would not take my eyes off my family members that did. Now that i have seen these great and powerful creatures in another light I have no doubts that my next trip will involve deep sea diving. These are beautiful creatures that need to be taken care of since they obviously can not fend for themselves. We need them to keep order. I dont think people really understand them which leads to the fear of them. ABANDON FEAR
An amazing film !!! We have to tell to The world what\ s going on, we have to tell the truth and protect our planet ! We have to do that without the governments, this is our goal as human beings !
wow the flim waz awsome and seeing all kids of shark but the said part of it is how people are doing to thim i hope the sharks will stay forever more (12 year old)
This film was the most amazing film i\ ve ever seen in my life. I felt so sad after watching it because i couldn\ t believe what was going on, i hope as many people as possible watch this as most people have no idea what is happening.
This movie was completely eye opening. I had no idea what was going on to sharks, and now I want to somehow make a difference by helping them. This was definitely the best documentary I\ ve ever seen. Amazing.
I was in total shock after veiwing this documentary with my kids, that we decided to make it an issue at school. People need to know so they can do something about it.
Rob Stewart deserves a Nobel prize for laying his life on the line to save this important creature. I\ ve recommended and shown this film to others and I consider it one of the greatest and most heart rending films I have ever seen.
your video is so awesome , number 1 (:
10 out of 10
Well Done Rob for showing the public the reality of what is going in our oceans on a daily basis. I hope governments across the world take note of this film and get of the collective asses before the life in our seas is no longer.
You cannot look at our treatment of the world that surrounds us and not challenge each and every persons so called faith.
I was so incensed by the video on the plane back from Hawaii, I felt like selling up and buying my own Sea Shepherd boat. Come on people spread the word!!!!!!
I have to say that shark water stirs up a deep primal realization about who we are and how we treat the world around us Top notch movie for all walks of life
This was an amazing documentary! I\ ve learned so much from it! I\ ve always loved sharks and respected them, but it brought me even more awarness! Incredible job!
sharkwater completely changed my thoughts about sharks, i used to be afraid and now i love them, i watched it with my class and it inspired us to make petitions and do a video for our school. WE want to help as much as we can
Temos que fazer a nossa parte, protejamos o nosso planeta e todos os seres que o habitam! Só assim seremos realmente uma espécie inteligente. Good Job!
