this movie has changed my life. i watched it last year with my entire grade, and we raised about 1,200 dollars and got rob to come to our school. even since then, i have been writing speechs trying to convince my new school that shark finning is terrible. I hope this works. Thanks guys! you are amazing people
shark water is amazing!!! i love it so much i am raising money to send to you i hope it helps even a little
Wonderful film, I almost cried. And I can\ t eat meat anymore - not a bad thing, thought.
THANK YOU for opening my eyes; I had no idea and will be signing up as a volunteer.
AWESOME VIDIO MAN
We just sent 80$ your way. Glad to be able to help, if only a tiny bit.
My life changed after doing a beach clean & learning about plastic in the Ocean. After watching your insightful documentary it has confirmed to me I need to change my life & get busy helping even more. Thank you. www.plasticsnotfantastic.org
As an asian I was rlly embarrassed by those Chinese ppl. We\ re \"suppose\" to be the smart ones. I didn\ t know they were endangered. It was awesome. thanks to this movie, I skipped chemistry class! :P Save the SHARKS!!
I loved your docimentary ... I\ d be surprised if there was someone who didn\ t. It was a real eye-opener for those of us who knew so little ... thank you !!
i really thought it was insightful...
My boyfriend has always been in love with sharks since a child. His dream is to one day free swim with them as you do. Even though I\ ve heard him talk about sharks and the mistreatment for years until I saw it I truly did not understand the severity. We are now both passionate about spreading the word and trying to help ban long line fishing and finning. Thank you for your bravery and honesty on getting the word out on the travisty!
Loved the movie... in an odd way... You did an awesome Job! I can\ t believe that people actually do that to some animals... so not cool. I\ m a vegetarian so I think doing anything to harm and animal is just cruel. Thanks for spreading the word! By the way, you looked amazing in the speedo (rod Stewart)
Awesome movie! I watched it in class and loved it! Great job :D After watching this movie I actually like sharks alot!!! :D p.s You\ re hott :P ( Rob Stewart)
I was honestly shocked the way people treat these poor creatures. I repsect what they\ re doing to save sharks and hope they keep doing it. All power to you guys!
My husband & I were shocked, disgusted and moved to tears at how disrespectful these killers are towards life, period. To be \ aware\ of the potential threat to civilization must become our obligation to help Rob Stewart and Paul Watson. If not then we should donate our own \"fins\" and give up. We are changing our donation patterns from health issues to sharks or we won\ t be around anyway! Wake up people!
im in 6th grade and im in love with sharks ever sence i wathced jaws . and i am doing a protest for the sharks. im more deadicated to my shark protest than anyone alse.and im fighting for them so they can still be alive. and they are gods creation they were here before dinosores and they will keep on living with all our help!
Rob Stewart and Paul Watson are the 21th century heroes!
before i watch the movie sharkwater i hated sharks so bad but now they are not so bad animals any more i can't believe they are doing this to them
Blame the media and globalization and the idea of capitalization. Sharks would be in less harm like most things if we just left them alone. People want it no matter how wrong it they are willing to pay for it. This movie though would change your idea of what hate realy is. People fear from the unkown like that idiot in the movie who was saying sharks are bad. Or the blonde who read that email.. Why are people so stupid. Watch this move and open your eyes and see the real truth.
This is one of the best films I have seen. I am reluctant to say \"documentary\" because it is so much more... I bought this on Blu-Ray and watch it over and over longing to be right there with Rob...
Its amazing how there is so much money being thrown away on useless research and how media focuses on what is not important and a world crisis as the extinction of a animal that has been here millions of years before us there is so much neglect to put money towards saving them.
IM in grade 11 and my friend and i decided to do a short documentary on sharks, even in the 1980\ s there were people like us trying to do something and it has been going on for quite some time no, we do not realize how important these animals are to our ecosystem, to us, and to basically everyone. If the sharks eventually do become extincted which i hope it never comes to, we are for in a huge suprise. Alot of people know that killing these sharks is wrong and that there numbers or low and limited. So please, this should stop know!!
Thank you so much for this documentary on long lining and shark finning. I have always loved and been intrigued by the fierce beauty of sharks. This documentary is brave and timely. Thank you so much for helping save an fragile part of our eco system. I am ashamed of my fellow humans for their killing off of the very thing that keeps them alive!
we are saying things about saving the world when we are the ones killing its precious belongings!!!
please save these innocent angels!!!
i feel disgusted with what we do to these caring animals when the world mostly depends on them!!!
this documentary is absoloutely heart-breaking, and heart-warming! i think that these sharks are being under appreciated for what they do for us humans!
this was an amazing documentary.it was so informative on this problem. i learned so much and it completely changed my prespective on the shark. i hope we can all work together and prevent the extinction of this wonderfull creature
Although i was aware of shark finning i had no ideas of the true scale of the problem. I have researched other sources of information and it is true; Around 90% of the world\ s shark species are either decimated already or in danger of extinction. As the documentary suggests wiping out top predators can have disastrous effects such as the explosion of Humboldt Squid in the Sea of Cortez.
Truly awesome documentary. I am a scuba instructor, and I have always promoted the grace and beauty of the shark to my students (mainly black tip reef sharks here in Muscat). It is devastating to see that so many of these truly wonderful creatures are being depleted in their tens of thousands worldwide daily. Archimedes once said - Give me a lever strong enough and I can move the world. Together, we can help stop this abhorrent practice of shark finning.
As an Ecologist I under line the importance of top predators in every ecological system. We have so many examples were the disappearance of a top predator has disastrous effects to every part of the ecosystem it lives in. Wolves, dingo, tiger, lion: Time and time again we see a degradation of habitat when these disappear. In the ocean the effects aren’t visible as much, yet. But if a similar effect occurs in the ocean as on land we are in for a big shock. Our dependency for oxygen, food, seasons and life is clearly bound with the oceans.
We should save sharks!!
Great movie, very inspiring and reveiling. Thank you
I watched this movie in my marine ecology class, it was quite the eye opener let me tell you. It\ s horrible that people are still able to be doing this, more countries need to ban it. If these sharks go,the whole marine food chain could be damaged for good. Like it was said in the movie. Things need done, and quick.
The movie was awesome. I love it and I like sharks like Rob Stewart. and my dad is helping me to save the sharks and I want to save all the fish and whales in the water.
hi rob, your movie was very inspiring.our class watched it for society and environment. i fing it very scary that you actaully swan with sharks.i used to hate them.now that i have watched ur movie im not so scared.thanx
After watching this documentary, it has reinforced my passion and love for preservation of our wildlife, both on land and sea. After watching the barbaric butchery of these magnificant wonders of our planet, I couldnt help but think that we are the true canivirous animals, we are the animals that should be most feared! I take my hat off to these guys that are devoting their lives to a good cause. I want to help, and I will!
stop finning sharks
wow I cant spell I\ m sorry what I meant to say is I watch this video in class and it opened my eyes I want to write a book about shark fining and how I can\ t stand to hear that sharks for being kill just for finsoup SORRY 4 THE LAST LETTER WOW I COULD NOT SPELL
I\ m watching this video in class and it opened my eyes I plane to write a book about shark fining my plane is to save as any sharks as I cant. I can\ t stand to know that a shark is dieing
I watched this documentary and now i am determined to help. I want to travel and learn more about this. I find this whole idea incredibly interesting and i don\ t know how i went along not knowing this information. This movie is incredible and i am going to change something, we need to change this.
I think this is defiantly the best thing I have EVER seen in my whole life. I even cried while I was watching this awesome Documentary. I was just so amazed while I was watching it! I Hope this movie has really made others think about how sharks really mean to us.
What they are doing is murder,Sharks have as much right to live as we do and in many ways they have more rights, everyone is trying to save pandas, elephants, and polar bears but the corparations don\ t care about Sharks simple becuase of there mythology as monsters we are the monsters!!All of ous who think this,we must act quickly to save the Sharks!!
I saw the documentary Sharkwater in a fishing museum. I was repulsed. Right now I am writting a report on shark finning and am doing everything I can to raise awareness for the soon come extinon of sharks.
did I already comment :S? Hmph...Well im doing my school project on this, and thats FINAL! O.o i think im obbsessed, only 13 but this is obviously a crime! And a horribly covered massacre. Geez, who do they think they are? Trying to eleminate a species like that?! I love this movie. Amazing.
i have a small crew of people helping you. you are not alone with helping sharks.
WOW this movie is really good and shows alot on shark finning. I am only 11 years old I know I can make a difference. Those NASTY shark finners and killers how would they like it if I came and said your arms and legs are worth lots and lots of money I\ m gonna cut them off and sell them to make human arm and leg soup and then throw them in to the lake to die. That is the same as shark finning. They are destroying mother earth eco system. They have forgotten that the sea life and animals are our brothers and sisters all living on mother earth. I think that you rob stewart are doing the right thing. So are you SEA SHEPERDS!!!!!!!!!!!
i think people are being mean to not just sharks all animals and they should stop becuase if there where no animals there would be no people!:)
Before i saw sharkwater i thought i was going to be so scared watching animals get fined and getting really hurt!To be honest with you i really did not like sharks they scared me, but after watching sharkwater i really think they are a really cool sea animal!I know i am only 11 years old but i know if i help and so do some of my friends, we can make a difference!YOU CAN DO IT!By the way i live in Canada really close to Toronto!Your movie is GREAT!
