Maddie (Peyton List) discovers she's trapped in afterlife limbo at her high school in this TV series. She's been missing several days, and there have been searches for her, but her body hasn't turned up. Maddie doesn't remember what happened or how she got there, but discovers there are several other dead students who roam the halls as well, hoping to find a way to cross over.
Maddie tries to communicate with her friends, who are also trying to find out what happened to her. At first, they suspect her boyfriend, Xavier (Spencer Macpherson), and uncover some secrets not only about him, but about other students as well.
In the second season, Maddie discovers what happened to her and is returned to her body, but at the same time, her friend Simon (Kristian Ventura) enters the thin line between living and dead and can now see all the ghosts Maddie used to see. Maddie and her friends try to find out why Simon is stuck and how to get him back out alive.
Based on the graphic novel by Maria Nguyen.
