Pierre and Paul, two brothers, haven’t spoken since Paul stole away Pierre’s fiancée, Elizabeth, ten years ago. Since then, Pierre has drowned the memories of his unhappy love life with alcohol, and now suffers from cirrhosis. With only months to live, he urgently needs a liver transplant, and has little chance of surviving without a compatible donor.

His fiancée, Marie, pushes Pierre to ask his brother to give him part of his liver.
