I miss you, Aaliyah
This movie was great. I wish it could have gone more indepth as to who everyone was and why they were there... but it`s not the book and movies can`t stretch the imagination as much... I am very pleased that Tom Cruise(i am a fan, but not for this movie) did not play Lestat... he did not and could not portray Lestat how he should be portrayed... cheers for getting someone better and more believable...
This is one of the most amazing movies i have ever seen. The acting was fabulous, Aaliyah was the perfect Qeen of the Damned, and Stuart Townsend, what a hottie playing the role of the legendary Lestat. Marguerite Moreau as Jesse was someone everyone can relate to in her dreams of being immortal. The cinematography was great, the dialogue perfected. This is a movie worth seeing!!
I saw the movie at the Preview and people are leaving in the middle of the movie. I finished the movie at last but it`s the wrost vampire movie i even seem....
I thought qotd was good, but there was barely any aaliyah, yet the movie was named after the character she played. lol, but n e ways, it was okay
a bad 1.5 hr MTV video wannabe
Nothing Close to the first chronical. There can only be one Lastat and that has to be Tom Cruise. This new guy doesn`t even talk with the right acsent. It was good 4 out of 5 but a weak follow up from the Interview.
something extra-ordinary!wonderful
I thought that the movie was excellent. I found it extremely erotic without all the romance nonsense. It made me want to become a vampire and get my neck sucked on. I will most definately see it again.
Good movie! no, great movie
It was an average film, but I thought that it would be a great film.
I really enjoyed this movie.Stuart T did a good job playing the arrogant Lestat. The book was defineatly better(but books usually are) but they did a good job. I forgive them for the details that didnt match the book, but hopefully this movie will get people reading more of anne rice`s books to get the whole story.I just wish they had have explained who each of the characters were, to give you a background to come from so you can enjoy the movie more.
It was a really good movie. I was disapointed that it was totally different than the book. Stuart Townsend was totally hot!! They never said who was who in the movie!! I`m talking total confusion! I will see it again.
Awesome! Loved the ScorePlay from Jonathan Davis....
It was a great movie,, i just want to see it over and over again--i luv aaliyah she was my favorite singer and shes the best actress in this,,well maybe i just liked this movie cause she was in it but anyways it was great!! ~*~RIP AALIYAH~*~ 1989-2001
It was a great movie. The characters were played very well. And of course Lestat was a pretty sexy vampire. The one problem I had with the movie, is that I thought that once they killed the queen, all the spells would be broken and the Vampires would become human again. Other that that it was an excellent movie, with awesome animation.
It was an awesome movie but too bad the screenplay is completely different from the novel.
I LOVE LESTAT I LOVE LESTAT I LOVE LESTAT...ok...so stuart townsend did a wonderful job portraying lestat, as did aaliyah. he looked so sexy....if anyone has some pics they could send me i would greatly appriciate it. i`ve found many, but am always looking for more! :)
really well done
i love stuart townsend as lestat. he is so sexy. the movie rocks. alrighty now....
I love Aaliyah.
Amazing flick! However, I would have enjoyed it more if there was far more depth in the story of Lestat`s history. As mentioned from other viewers, the book and movie don`t coincide. BUT, none the less, this was a great vampire movie (comming from a self proclaimed vampire specialist), great effects, attractive actors, great romantic ssub plots. *****. And a half.
It was a good movie, I just wish they would have stuck more to the story line. Marius was not Lestat`s maker, Magnus was. Marehet did not become the next Queen, but her twin sister Mekare did by eating the brain and heart of Akasha. Those were the big ones, there are more. I guess they didn`t have enough time or those scenes are on the cutting room floor. Still Aaliyah did a great job as the Mother of all Vampires!
The timeline for the existance of Lestat was off from the precious movies and books, but it was great. The movie was more about him than the Queen.
I loved it! I have seen it twice and plan to see it again.
This is such a rocker movie, but still acceptable.
It may be OK as Vampire Movies go, but they really shouldn`t have called it Queen of the Damned...
I thought it was great. It was the best vampire movie that I have ever seen. I want to see it again, and again. Aaliyah was wonderful. The way she preformed it looked as if she knew she was going to die. She is a very talented actress and singer. Or she was. And I wish she was still with us. Lestat was so mysterious. His voice will never stop reaching me. Lestat finally got what he wanted. I was just disappointed that they didn`t put as many pictures of him as I hoped. Put more pictures of Lestat up.
Cool movie! would have been cool if lestat were tom cruise in this movie, his replacement although was a great pic! but watch the movie love it because it was amazing !! . What happend to Lui and Armand? and didnt lestat change Christen slater?? oh well Great movie!
special effects was good
super cool its a must see, spine chillin` movie!!!!
Queen of the Damned rox!! if yu havn`t seen it, go and see it! its worth it. Aaliyah rules as Akasha and Lestat is mmm this is the BEST vampire movie i have ever seen, and i`ve seen a lot.~
the best vampire movie to date! lestat is the greatest and music is amazing!!!
Aaliyah played an amazing part. God watch over her! her fans miss her. she was truly a talented person.
Not enough gore first of all. Typical hollywood playing it safe as usual. More of a second rate date flick with your girlfriend if she likes soap operas. Save your money and read the book. There are better horror movies out there that don`t make the theatre. And, I have to mention the typical blockheaded trendy music used for LEstat`s band was so cliche. Using a more suitable metal styling would have been more fitting. C`mon guys, Korn is not metal or goth or vampiric or cool. Disgrace of a film! Shame on the director. Poor taste.
This movie was horrible!!! Bad plot and not believable. Boo!!
the movie was beautiful. entirely wrong, but none the less beautiful. I forgive them for all the mistakes they made. afterall, they are only human.
Really great movie ! Perfect cast, good story... what else ? Absolutely wonderful ! Stuart Townsend is good as a vampire, Aaliyah is amazing as AKASHA !! The music ROCKS A LOT !
Queen of the damned was one of the best gothic movies I have seen in some time. Lestat, wanting to bring the secret of the Vampires to the living world sending a message for a companion, the malevolent queen seeking to destroy all in her path that do not submit to her will, or threaten her new chosen mate. The underdark world of the vampires inspiring in its hidden realm, to shadow the living world only for those with the will the need to remain and not fade like the mortals they drink from pawns to all. I really like redeemer it added to the ambiance and pattern formatted to the movie you in further. I will definitely for one purchase a pai
Terrible...absolutely terrible. There aren`t any other words to describe it. The story didn`t flow at all, it was confusing, the title character (the Queen of the Damned) served no purpose in the movie. Was this supposed to reflect modern times? if so, then the public is a little too comfortable with the idea of vampires walking around on the streets. It seemed twice as long as it actually was, and the overacting and silly cliched lines were laughable...seriously...it was almost a vampire movie spoof...my friend and I couldn`t stop laughing. NO STORY + NO ACTING + CHEESY WANNA-BE SCARY ELEMENTS = REALLY BAD MOVIE...sorry WB
I went and saw this with a bunch of friends and thought it was completly stupid. It was boring and way too loud with very high pitched noises. It was just corny, and the plot didn`t make sence.
Ah, This is SUCH a good movie! Townsend is a better pick for Lestat because of his qualities. If you liked the first one, you`ll love this one!
I believe the movie really made me feel my blood boil, I even wanted to taste the blood of Akasha.
it could have been scaryer and a better story line to it
I thought that "Queen of The Damned" is a well orchestated illusion, creating it`s own reality. This is the "Matrix" of the Vampire Genre of movies. Although the plot is a little sketchy in some places (edited for time no doubt) the point is conveyed very well and keeps the viewer interested. I felt that the ending was rather abrubt and could have been a little better defined and prepared for, but this was much better than an ending which dragged on and on. The use of music in the film to illustrate how we can get caught up in the glamour, and in being "chic", instead of listening to the words was very well done. Although a little un
This movie really sucked... pure nonsense.
Good Campy fun! Love Stuart Townsend`s Lestat.
Lestat is, and always will be, the greatest vampire on earth!
Excellent..aaliyah well done!
gREAT!
