Bernard Frédéric leaves behind his job as a Claude François look-alike to
please his wife Véro, who wants a normal life. Now a bored bank employee,
Bernard learns of a new look-alike contest organized by a tv station. Here
is a chance for Bernard to recapture the fame he so misses. His wife gives
him an ultimatum: give up, or she'll divorce him. His ex-collaborator and number
one fan,
Jean-Baptiste Rousseau, pushes him towards his dream. Torn between
his boring day-to-day life and his dreams of glory, and between his love
for his wife and his love for his idol, Bernard decides to
risk everything and go for it.
Beyond the obvious homage to singer Claude
François and a fond look at '70s pop culture, the movie examines friendship,
love and celebrity-seekers.
