La Tuque, autumn 1926. Félix Leclerc, 12, accompanies his father Léo, his brother and his uncle on their daily work. Along the way, he meets Fidor, a boy his age from a very poor family. The two kids build a strong bond of friendship throughout the coming year, which is filled with a number of firsts and lasts for Felix.
The first impossible love with the pretty nurse who shelters his horse in the Leclerc stable. His first perilous trip to a remote corner of the Mauricie, where Léo, a coureur des bois in his soul, intends to found a village. It’s also Félix’s last summer in La Tuque, because next September, he’ll be leaving the parents he loves to go to school in Ottawa.
