The true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant with a talent for singing opera who became an instant YouTube phenomenon after appearing on Britain's Got Talent.
One of four children born to a bus driver and a supermarket cashier, Paul (James Corden) works as a cell phone salesman while performing in an amateur opera company. He meets Julie-Ann (Alexandra Roach) on the internet and the two fall in love. Yet Paul still feels unfulfilled. The tale of how Paul goes from an everyman to media sensation is a testament to the human spirit.
