Renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) is enlisted to help solve the murder of American businessman Ratchett (Johnny Depp) aboard the Orient Express, the most famous train in the world.
Hercule, who was a passenger on the train himself when the murder occurred, investigates several individuals — including Mrs. Harriet Hubbard (Michelle Pfeiffer) — and discovers that over a dozen people on the train had a mysterious connection to the victim and any one of them could be the perpetrator.
Based on a popular 1934 novel by Agatha Christie.
