Mr. Harrigan's Phone (Netflix)
When aging billionaire Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland) hires Craig (Jaeden Martell) to read for him, they bond over books — and their first iPhones. Reluctant at first to try the phone, Mr. Harrigan soon discovers its qualities — and foresees the negative aspects as well.
One day when Craig comes to visit, he finds the old man dead. After the funeral, Craig slips the man's smart phone in the casket before burial. Distraught over losing his friend, Craig texts Mr. Harrison a message, and is shocked when he gets a return text. He's even more shocked when the bully he told Mr. Harrison about winds up dead.
Based on a short story by Stephen King.
