Sorry to only give this movie a two star rating but I found it very disjointed. It seemed to bounce all over the place even though a person could predict the outcome. I found many young moms probably feel the same way as the young lady in the movie. They feel like they are not doing enough and not perfectly even though they are doing the very best they can. Young moms are their very own worst enemies. They always compare themselves to other moms, when they themselves are doing a much better job of parenting etc., than say one of their friends or neighbors. All in all though the movie was entertaining even though it was predictable. At times I felt very sad for the young lady
Fun movie for a night out - very fluffy, but it did have a good message at the end. I loved the take outs during the credits. We stayed till the very end! I felt sorry for the people who left right at the end - they missed a few laughs!
Entertaining show. Very silly, simple story line. I think women with young children would relate to it better. There very several people in the audience laughing out loud and loving it!
Good Comedy very funny. Rate Chic Flic
This movie was hilarious. It was so relatable for moms and dads and just plain funny! My husband and I laughed so much. Haven't laughed in a comedy this much in a long time! Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this movie, lots of laughs and very appropriate for family viewing. I laughed so much and it was just what I needed. Being a mom you could relate to this movie. Awesome and very entertaining. Thank you....
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's very refreshing to go to a movie you could take the whole family and have a good belly laugh. Thank you for the chance to screen this movie. Tony Redden
Really cute, funny movie - a bit predictable but lots of laughs. Thank you!
I won free passes to the pre-screening of Moms' Night Out. I wasn't sure what to expect, but found it to be a good movie. Starts off a lil slow with some slow parts in between, but has some good laughs throughout! Sarah Drew played a great neurotic mom. I took one of my best friends who has 4 kids 4-13; she said "It described my life!" haha.
Awesome chick flick !!!
This is a very average type of comedy: very predictable plot and timing of humor. The beginning 10 minutes I enjoy the characters appeared and developed, the middle, I am just going through the motion to sit and watch, the ending is quite a mess exploded for the wrap. It tried to say that everything/ everyone is reasonably connected for the ending. I truly don't hate it but honestly this is a good family show to watch with young children under 13 at home.
While there is some good dialogue and a few acceptable performances, this film is a thinly disguised excuse for the delivery of sermonette after sermonette, most of which are only superficially related to the action of the film. Obviously meant for the church basement, not the theatre.
Hilarious! Laugh out loud funny. Way better then I thought it would be.
Really below my expectations!
Entertaining and a real hoot. What fun!
I am a stay-at-home mom of six small children (I have had two sets of twins). I live in a cramped tiny house, and get NO help from my hubby. If anyone needed a night out, it was me! I went with my sister, who is a mom of two. This was not the movie we were expecting. The movie was very blah to say the least. It was extremely disjointed, and some scenes had no reason to be there, as they were not fleshed out later or even funny. You really didn't get to "know" any of the characters. I hate to complain about a free previewing, but there is nothing, other than the fact that there was little violence, to make me give this movie a positive rating! If you feel you must see it, wait until it is ava
I did not have high expectation for this movie initially. But it turns about to be hilarious. I haven't laughed so hard in a movie for awhile. This movie is a mommy's version of the Hangover.
It was hilarious and touching. There were some true sentimental spots and many issues addressed. Wonderful movie, great for the whole family.
I found it midly entertaining, but glad I didn't pay for it. It was kinda' corny, and not terribly funny. And just some things had no relevance. You discover one of the gals is pregnant, but the storyline goes nowhere with it. What was the point of introducing it. Thought the main couple performed well and enjoyed most of their storyline.
It's was a great movie Loved it and was so nice to get out
We very much enjoyed this film. I loved how much they focused on morals and the importance of family. I would love to see more movies like this!
Good, clean humour opening in a timely manner for Mother's Day. Although the roles were taken to the extreme, the multitude of characters were enlightening. It's a good family movie.
So yes this is a movie about Moms but it is not a chick flick, it's a comedy. It's fast paced and action packed. Sarah drew is awesome as the neurotic Mom. This movie is all around family fun.
Extremely funny, reflects real problems of a mom in modern life. A must see!
Moms night out was a funny family movie. It reminds me of my mom back in the days when she was a super mom, she took care of my her sister's children and her own. There was a lot of funny moments in the movie, especially when Bones had his moment preaching about God.
It started slow, but it turned out pretty good. My friend and I were laughing at quite a few scenes, and I give it a 6 out of 10. Not too bad, good movie for a girls night out or wait for video/netflix and see at home with the boyfriend/husband.
The movie was great but waiting in line for almost an hour not so good. My name is Maria Tallerico. Thank you for the viewing.
Whether it's Mom's imagination or not, nothing can make this uptight mom relax on her night out. Enjoyable fun for all.
Meh, forgettable movie with some laugh out loud moments here and there.
I really enjoyed this movie. I took my mom to the advanced screening and she enjoyed it as well. I am a working mom and have 3 kids as well. And I can fully identify with the struggles and the frustrations that Ally (Sarah Drew) was experiencing. Being a mom is a very hard job but it is also very rewarding. I guess that's why you see a lot of moms who are very "stressed paralyzed" but still manages to do everything for her family because in the end it's all worth it. My favorite line in the movie was from Sean (Sean Astin) to Ally, "Hon....your job is important". Very simple but very powerful words to show how much he appreciates everything that she's done for the family and everything that
A comedy you don't want to miss!
It was a very cute comedic chick flick that had me laughing several times throughout. I would recommend my friends to come see this movie.
It was a great family movie! I wasn't sure what to expect but it was quite comical Thanks again
I really enjoyed this film. Although it started out a bit slow it soon ramped up to some genuine laugh out loud moments. It's nice to see that a movie can still be funny without being crude or full of swearing! I wasn't too keen on the religious references but that shouldn't hamper anyone's enjoyment of this fun movie.
Boring cast, with a predicable ending and the story just got lost.
Great movie! Very entertaining. Very funny. Good acting. Fun night out and Great movie to see with girlfriends regardless of whether you have kids or not! Had a great message Loved it and would definitely recommend it whether you have kids or not. Would also see it again.
Mom's Night Out might've been a funny relevant movie if it was set in the 60's, as it is 2014 it falls flat and at times insulting to both males and females portraying the Dad's as juvenile and inept when it comes to caring for their own kids. And the women don't fare any better from a Pastor's wife with a " shady" past, to a modern day Mom who's unhappy and frazzled with the path her life's taken. There are a few laughs here and there mostly brought about from the actor playing a cab driver during the most absurd unrealistic car chase/baby finding scene I've ever witnessed on film. My advice is to wait for the rental.
A super cute, family friendly hilarious film! Great laughs and sentimental moments.
The movie was hilarious! Storyline wasn't too bad, a few gaps, but Patricia Heaton was the star!!
A funny, light hearted, touching movie to watch, definitely for moms everywhere! =)
Enjoyable light comedy fare... some pretty funny moments.
Mom's Night Out was a very funny movie, with a nice outcome. I brought my sister and we both have children so it was a perfect movie for us to see together. Two thumbs up!!!
I really liked Mom's Night Out. Nice not to see violence/shooting/swearing. Great for family/mom's/even want to be mom's!
Got free passes to this movie from Tribute.ca and took my mom .... some are being rather trivial about this movie online and suggesting it "cliché" and/or same old story line. BEST COMEDY I have seen in a long time!!!! All mom's should go and just enjoy. It may be likened to a "female hangover" but my tears of laughter and sore abs from laughing say otherwise... take time to watch... honestly well worth your effort. Even mom's who just need to "unplug" for a few hours.
Predictable and puerile
Going into the movie I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I had watched the trailer so knew it should be good, but still had some reservations about it. It turned out to be much better then I was expecting. I had a lot of laughs, there were some touching moments and very relatable. I would definitely recommend this movie whether you have kids or not, you will enjoy it!
Sarah Drew was adorable as a young mom of 3 kids, with a hubby that is out of town a lot of the time. Patricia Heaton was hilarious as her friend, who is also the Preachers wife. Both women & men will relate to the shenanigans of both sides of parenting, which are totally believable! Fun night out at the movies!
Excellent movie, really funny Made my day by watching it
Great movie... funny too!
A lot of bizarre unrealistic scenarios and over-acting for one night! However, some endearing moments by the lead actress!!
