PHEONOMENAL!!!!
Definitely a must-see. Not on ly the music is good, but we get to actually see the genius at work...and what would have been perhaps the greatest concert ever.
What a beautiful Movie! So sad that he is gone.
The King of music!
An excellent tribute to MJ and a wonderful gift to all his fans. Love seeing Michael at work and in his element. He was a true talent and you realize what a great loss it is. The movie doesn't leave you sad, which I liked. Ironic that MJ was such a perfectionist and for his last performance to be so raw. A must see for die hard fans.
Shows the professional side and the 'genius' that is Michael Jackson. Doesn't dwell or comment on the negative side of his social life and this helps one appreciate the effort needed to provide the true entertainment value of the man. His work ethic to achieve success is truly inspirational to all who seek being the best in their respective endeavours.
It's everything the last Superman movie should have been and more!
I was never a REAL MJ fan, but did appreciate his talent - BUT I am blown away with this movie!!! The best and even though I rarely if ever see a film twice -- this one I shall for sure! To see his involvement with the whole creative process, the respect he had for all lighting techs, dancers, musicians, set designers, and of course Ortega shows the real character of MJ. It's the most 'manly' I've ever seen him. A great tribute to a real genius. Okay, now I'm a total fan!
I want to vote for Michael Jackson
I have a whole new respect for Michael Jackson. What a brilliant artist! Talk about "Bang for your Buck." For the price of a movie ticket you can see a Micheal Jackson concert! I had no idea he was such a nice person - obviously a perfectionist but loved the people he worked with and just loved people in general. He really cared about our planet as well. I think he lived a lifetime of pain and I pray he is happy now. We'll miss you Michael! :)
you are the "BEST"
this movie was by far the best i have seen in a long time
Thank you to Kenny Ortega and the Michael Jackson Co. for making a spectacular film about a spectacular person - Michael Jackson! This beautiful movie gave me a chance to celebrate the man and his talents and gift to the world as well as a chance to mourn, grieve, and reflect! I laughed and I cried and remembered that he is one of the most beautiful human beings that ever lived! I love MJ with all my heart! Thank you and God bless you all!
Michael Jackson's This Is It is one of the most beautiful cinematic creations ever made! The movie is as beautiful as Michael was! Michael was a STAR because of his talent and because of his inner meek beauty! Thank you and God bless you for honoring Michael in such a beautiful way! Thank you for giving us something where we can both celebrate the man and also grieve the loss of him! God bless you!
I sang, I cried and am sad that I wont have him in the next 40 years of my life. Music will never be the same. He was an artist who not only wrote his songs, which are very meaningful, he cared about the world and people of all classes. No other artist can come close with what he has given to the world and to us! A must see! I just can not say Goodbye! Love you MJ! You are the King of Pop and no other in my lifetime will come close! Movie shows his passion, his love, him being so human.
im only 14 and i liked it !! its all about music !! and love !! I love u MJ !!!!!!!!!
wicked film
I loved the movie and was so happy to see that Michael was just as 'on top of his game' as ever, evidenced by his ability to dance and keep up with the dancers who are half his age.
What an amazing movie. You really get to see the great talent and wonderful, caring and sensitive person that Michael Jackson was. A True Genius.........Love you Michael and I Miss you!!!
very best of Michael ...always will be loved by my family
Great insight into the mind and music of the late King of Pop. At times serious regarding Michael's commitment to the environment ("Earth Song") and to social/economic improvement ("Man in the Mirror"), but also fun and very interesting. A must see for pop music lovers.
Wow!!! wow!wow!!! that is all I have to say.
An amazing, genius and articulate artist and a very nice person.
This was actually better then expected, so therefore, it deserves nothing less the 5/5 stars. This really does showcase his talents and if he would have had the oppourtunity to preform one more time, it would have been a concert to remember.
Great movie! No emotional exploitation, just Michael's plain genius and humanity. I think the only thing Michael was guilty of was not growing up. This documentary vindicates him and explains what a unique human being he was. I'm glad he got things he wished for - not to grow old and to make difference in this world! Worth watching again and again....
awesome. Love M.J
A great human being, a very talented artist. A great tribute.
AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! 5 STARSS!!!
I found this movie/Doc outstanding incredible and without a doubt the most fun i have had at the movies. This goes up to the top of my list of all time favorite movies....U can bet that i will be getting this dvd when it comes out. Oh and another thing people respect his work and buy it, Its worth 100 dollars and i would pay that much for this timeless show that will never get old.
One of the best. Love you Michael.
I love you michael
brilliant
GREAT! R.I.P M.J
love michael ............... it was a great movie i loved every second of it ....i'll miss u michael
I LOVED IT. IT WAS LIKE MICHAEL'S LAST CONCERT ,TO SEE HIM MOVE LIKE NO BODY CAN AND SING LIKE NO BODY DOES.
Great Show
AWESOME :D :D :D LOVED IT
very good movie. I fully enjoyed it...too bad because the concert would've been great.
People who don't like this movie aren't real MJ fans. IT's a BACKGROUND look at his prep for the tour. It's not a movie about finding out what killed him. It's MJ at his best, showing the world how much of a perfectionist he was, how much he cared for his fans, and how bad he wanted the tour to do well. If anything this proves he was fine, and that there is some foul play in his death. ENJOY THE MUSIC and MEMORY of one the GREATEST ENTERTAINERS of all time, and the haters get over yourself. He can do more at 50 than many of you can at 20.
GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! The movie shows that he was a music and performing GENIUS. Additionally, a gentleman, sensetive, and caring about the world and people. He is truly the KING OF POP!!!! We will miss the greatest performer of all time. We love you Michael!!!
I gave thia film 5 stars, for what it is: a rehersal of a performance that never happened. Rehersals lack the glitz and pizazz of a finished product. Nevertheless, this rehersal was amazing. I left the theatre feeling a sense of privilege and awe at being able to watch it. It would have been an azazing concert. I'm sorry that it wasn't to be but grateful for the opportunity to see it. RIP Michael Jackson. You were an awesome performer and humanitarian. I will remember you for those attributes as well as for your music.
One of the best Documentaries I have seen in a very long time. It's hard to believe they made this from only rehearsal footage. It is simply amazing. This would have been the Concert of the Century. Michael, you will be loved forever.
I had forgotten how much I liked his music!
This movie was UNVBELIEVABLE and if you are any type of a Michael Jackson fan you must go see it! I was either 'dancing' in my seat, singing along or crying - it made me so sad to realize it was 'over' in real time, but as mentioned his music lives on. I am hoping to purchase the dvd when it comes out!
Beautiful film. Some people are complaining that he wasn't going all out the entire time. You do realize this is REHEARSAL footage right? Maybe I'm just more realistic but I actually thought this movie was a lot better than I expected. We got to see Michael in his element, preparing for what was to be his final tour.
It a word -- brilliant! The film is not a finished cut of any song but you could see the creative genius at work with his collaboring with the director, dancers, musicians and singers. Everyone would have been at the top of their game and this show would have truly taken the concert experience to another level. I have a tremendous amount of respect for how Mr. Ortega treated Michael, with dignity, sensitivity and gentleness. We should all treat others like this because we belong to one race -- the human race. Although I'm sad that MJJ is no longer with us, he has left his stamp of magic on the world through his music, creativety, kindness and sensitivity to the planet and others. I n
Amateurishly filmed and the songs were extremely vapid. Glad I wasn't paying for this one!
Absolute genius. What a showman and the most beautiful and powerful voice I have heard. You must see this.
lOVE MICHEAL but, the film was missing something, didn't have much of micheal talking to the camera, nor did it have alot of micheal going all out dancing. i got bored part way through, found the remake of thrillier pretty good, and the effects were pretty outstanding it would have been a world best concert live in action, but this film show teh short side of what it could have been
We are so fortunate that there was some rehearsal footage taken. It allows us to have a brief glimpse into the creative genius that is MJ. We may have suspected, but now we know. The This Is It concerts would have been phenomenal and unmatched.... this proves it even if we only get to see some rehearsal footage. Plus, we get to see his humble and every courteous self. This Is It is MJ at his very best.
