Through numerous examples gleaned from Belgium, France and Quebecsuch as literary archetypes, children's toys, the images conveyed by the automotive industry, statistics on domestic violence, fashion, etc.the filmmakers of this documentary argue that male dominance continues quietly in our societies. Meanwhile, men who have begun a masculinist movement, declare that feminism, which they accuse of having gone too far, has distorted the sex roles. Feminists, including Monique Simard, Francine Pelletier and the late Helen Pedneault, address the massacre at the Ecole Polytechnique in a new light.
