Four youths from Montreal North try to break the vicious circle of poverty and crime. Determined to return to school, Danny Raymond, a dropout, must first face his greatest challenge: learning to manage his budget by resisting the pitfalls of consumerism. Michael Stiverne, a former street gang member and future father, despite spending his weekends in jail, hopes to instill in his children the values of honesty and perseverance. His little brother Mikerson, whom he’s raising alone since their parents returned to Haiti, expresses his rage through hip hop, with the help of Don Karnage, a rapper, social worker and local youth mentor. Don also helps Bryson Alexander, a talented teenager whose mother is bipolar, and an addict.
