Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira) has had a tough life. In order to get away from an abusive boyfriend, she enrolls in the military, where she gets a physical rating as high as any man. Her intelligence also plays a factor as she's chosen to be a part of a Special Ops team, led by Joe (Zoe Saldana), who just lost one of her team to the enemy.
In Season 2, as the CIA's fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe, Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.
