For a year, filmmaker Ève Lamont documented the lives of prostitutes, escorts, masseuses and strippers of various ages, living in Ottawa, Quebec or Montérégie, all of whom are addicted to alcohol or drugs. Community center employees bemoan the lack of government resources to help these women, while a therapist who has managed to get some of the women off the streets campaigns for the abolition of prostitution, wrongly called, according to her, the oldest profession in the world.
