Gilles Gagné has always lived on the archipelago of Isle-aux-Grues, surrounded by his family and friends. Since childhood, he has maintained an undeniable link with this small strip of wilderness, located in the heart of the St. Lawrence River.
Filmmaker Bruno Boulianne goes to meet this islander who, for 30 years, was the guide of Jean-Paul Riopelle during his frequent goose-hunting parties.
The illustrious Quebec painter was inspired by these memorable experiences to create his famous fresco, "The Tribute to Rosa Luxembourg". Today, it is with artist Marc Séguin that Gilles continues to share his passion for hunting.
