Letter From My Village
A fictional story, which follows the efforts of a boy from outside an Senegalese village arriving and trying to find work, wraps this simple tale in an envelope rich in actual documentation of African village life.
In one segment, a young woman is treated compassionately by an indigenous medical practitioner (what Westerners would call, condescendingly, a witch-doctor).
