Sophie, who was born in Africa but moved to Quebec with her family when she was young, has graduated from university with a degree in film. While working at an amusement park, her boss finds out about herfilm background and asks her to make a video about his company. She begins to film everything, even things that don’t have anything to do with her job, including her friends and various aspects of her personal life. At the age of four, Sophie underwent genital mutilation in the country of her birth and is unable to have sexual relations. The young woman, who’s a virgin, puts her boss’s initial request on the back burner, instead shining on the camera on herself, creating a diary-type documentary about her long-kept secret and the impact of this traumatic event.
