With a poor harvest and a crippling land tax, the people of a small village in Victorian India are challenged to a game of cricket, a game they have never heard of. If they should win, their tax for the year will be acquitted, if not, it will increase. The people are terrified, but one man thinks the challenge is worth staking their entire future on.
