On November 22, 2012, American photojournalist James Foley was kidnapped in Syria. He was working as a freelance war correspondent during the Syrian Civil War when he went missing. In August 2014, a video of his public beheading sent shockwaves and introduced much of the world to the brutal terrorist organization known as ISIS. He was just 40 years old.
This documentary is directed by Jim's close childhood friend Brian Oakes. It tells the story of his life through intimate interviews with his family, friends and fellow journalists, while fellow hostages reveal never-before-heard details of his captivity with a chilling immediacy.
