Helping koalas in need is 11-year-old Izzy Bee's passion in life. Izzy and her family, including her mom, a veterinarian, live on Magnetic Island in Australia, most of which is a national park. They have made it their mission to rescue and rehabilitate each and every koala who needs help. They take them home, welcome them into the family, and nurture them until they’re ready to be released back into the wild where they belong.
Izzy shows us her favorite koala, Leia, who has been at their koala sanctuary since she was an abandoned baby. She's very close to Izzy and can't get enough cuddles. In the second episode, when a baby koala named Chompy arrives at the sanctuary, he eats leaves, but refuses to drink the milk he needs. Izzy does some research out in the field with a friend to find out how mother koalas get their babies to drink milk. Each week the viewers meet new koalas who need help in this series that's magical to watch.
