This movie is awesome and corny just like the first three.
Great Movie, i loved the 1,2,3 ones when they had come out, i still watch them from time to time, i will defenetly buy this one too.... Harrison Ford still is Indy no matter wath age he is, a real fan would defenetly understand the story of the movie and rated 5 stars too...
This movie was very good.....i never saw the first three and i knew what was going on thoughout the whole movie....very well made
All 4 of us loved the movie. I want to see it again.
I thought it was great. A good old fashion CORNY Indy movie. These movies are meant to be fun. I am reading these other reviews and laughing...what do you guys expect? We watched all 3 of the other Indy movies at home this week, and I think this one was comparable. Lots of action, lots of jokes, and Harrison Ford still has that old Indy charm. I took ten 9 year olds for a birthday party and they were cheering on the edge of theri seats. Thats what it's all about!!!
They spent more than decade toiling over the script for this movie, and this was the best story-line that they could come up with??? Are you kidding me!? This movie makes Temple of Doom look as a good as Raiders and Last Crusade.
Sorry George Lucas but what happened to the original hype the other Indy films had. I was expecting more edge of the seat and death defying tricks from Jones, even my eight year old was a little disappointed.
I am understand.... Some people don't like to show. And I am understand; Indy was looking too old. I remembered I was a teenager. I went to movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981. Indiana Jones was very young and strong man. He was very a good actor! And very best picture. It become Classic show. Please, don't worry! Indy had a son Henry "Mutt" Jones in future may be become Indiana Jones II. Yes, I knew; I feel very bittersweet about Indy Jones was looking too old. I am really miss him because he was young Indiana. (Tearful)
What a terrible movie. It's obvious what side of the legalizing marijuana debate Lucas and Spielberg are on because they were definitely smoking something when they came up with that convoluted, confusing story. It's like they decided "Hey, let's do Indiana Jones meets the X-Files". Harrison Ford was surprisingly weak. After such high expectations I am bitterly disappointed. Stay away from this stinker. Not even worth a DVD rental!
It wasnt what i expected! I thought it would have more action and thrill leading up to the ending. The last 2 were much better i think! Has Harrison ford lost his touch with age?? You be the judge
Boring. Boring. The whole theatre looked like they were asleep. What a waste of two hours. I am a big Raiders fan but this movie was a sleeper.
Definitely not the same as the others. Missed the concept of archeology for Indy. Wished it could have been on the same frame as the first three. This one was pretty lame. It's too bad.
How do you live up to Raiders of the Lost Ark ?? You dont. Numbers 2 and 3 didnt though they were quite adequate for the genre. The Crystal Skull goes in an interesting direction that was logical due to all the speculation of Mayan/Inca ruins/crop circles/etc. Harrison Ford is 65 years old folks. He does a credible job and is in great shape for his age. Shia Leboef adds a lot to this movie. But most of all this movie is ACTION ACTION ACTION. Dont miss it and take it easy on the senior citizen people.
Indy is legendary and anyone who disses his comeback is nuts. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Harrison Ford knew what they were doing when they wrote the script and it shows. I loved the movie and I don't care what any critic says.
If I wanted to watch a movie on UFOs and aliens I would have watched some of the vintage X-files episodes. It had so much plot potential but really left me disappointed. Lucas and Spielberg plz make a 5th u guys REALLY need to redeem yourself. Raiders and the Last Crusade are still the best. Plz bring back Connery, a movie that is a continuation from the Last Crusade and a prequel to this movie.
The legacy became a science fiction, they lost the audience of the Indiana Jones and the raw non animated fictional films which the Indiana is know to produce. I believe there was too much fictional animation.
awesome
very great. worth seeing.
Best movie ever!
Boring! I can't believe the wasted money making this movie. My girlfriend and I were going to walk out it was so lame but we toughed it out. The story is awful, their is no good action scenes and the acting and characters are just plain boring. It sucked and no one should waste there money on this, go to Iron Man and see a real movie. The Last Crusade should have been the last of Indy but Lucas had to go and try to make another buck.
Gross movie. Harrison ford is too old not fun to watch him in action.should stick to those suspence, drama types.
Good Gawd. Surviving an a-bomb blast -- in a fridge! Swinging thru jungle trees with a bunch of monkeys! Mind-numbing dumbness, from start to finish. Makes the "Mummy" and "National Treasure" movies look like art.
Indi 4 never happened
I was hoping I would wake up from the nightmare I was having about halfway through this flick. Sadly I wasn't having one and had to watch it all the way through. You should have left this series were it was George and Stevie! Now the devil just has another tool to torment his victims with...
This is a stupid movie ... brought my kids and would not recommend it for your kids!
Worst movie ever.... horrible... nothing like the originals
Great to see Indiana Jones back. Lot's of action a definite must see "summer" movie. :-)
amazing moviee... luved it(L)
This was an entertaining movie for me, I gave it 4 stars for that reason. It certainly wont win any awards, however it was fun and the two hours just flew by, and I was never bored. What more can you ask for?
The movie had its slow moments I will agree. The genre however is action adventure with its basis the old serial movies in the early 20's-30's with a cliff-hanger at the end of every episode. The use of an alien spaceship is pure Steven Spielberg but deep down who cares. Enjoy the movie for what it is and ignore the movie critics who don't get paid to watch a movie for enjoyment but instead only to citicize it.
This is by far the most disappointing movie i have seen all year. I absolutely love the Indiana Jones series and could not believe how bad the story line was. There was such potential for this movie and i was greatly disappointed. The beginning was decent but near the end of the movie it became incredibly dull. For a two hour long movie it did not feel like a lot had happened and it felt like the movie was very sloppy with many questions being left unanswered. Also I found that some of the things that occurred in the movie were quite unnecessary and completely unrelated.. Overall I recommend you save you movie and rent it (if you really want to see it)
Harrison is looking old, but it is a good movie and a must see if you like Adventure flicks!
I had high hopes for this movie. It seemed like it had potential but then it took a turn for the worst. This film stole $13 and 2 hours of my life that I will never see again. Huge Disappointment!! If it were up to me, I would not give this movie any stars at all. Please don't waste your time and money.
Should be called Indiana Jones and the Church of Scientology. Too bad.
I love Indy and this movie totally lives up to my expectations! He's definately a lot older looking better with age! You go get em Indy!
Awesome movie throughout until the end. The end was an easy out. Rent it instead of paying money at the theater.
This movie was a big let down, not much of a story line, and many of the scenes are just too far fetched to watch, i mean he survived a nuclear blast at ground zero in a fridge somehow.... also, aparrently shia labouf can travel at great speed through jungles by swinging from vines. i would wait for this movie to come out on video unless you like feeling ripped off.
I really enjoyed it .... my only negative comment is that it felt like Indy was going along for the ride rather that figuring it all out, like he did in the previous three films. He was strong willed before and somehow lost in this one. Otherwise I liked it.
I didn't really like this movie It was weird and not fun
great movie. SToryline was great, concept was fun. Lots of action, couldn't even tell indy was old
It was fun, entertaining and familiar. It's pretty much what I expected. The other 3 are of course better. They're better stories, better told, better characters. But this movie will satisfy those who just wanted to have a little glimpse of the hero again. Just one more taste.
Good, but not great. I don't think this will be the best blockbuster movie of the year. After reading all the reviews I went in with lower expectations, and therefore I was satisfied.
It had a bad storyline, bad special effects and at times i found myself laughing it was so bad. Lets see atomic bomb, groundhogs, tarzan, and aliens. Also the cheese factor also added to the overall stank of the movie. Oh but i know some of you fans will love it no matter how bad it is, cause its a new indy movie.Geroge Lucas and Steven Spielberg seem to just want to cash in on the big title names of there once good series of movies. Well enjoy the stank
this movie is disappointing. It does not compare to original Indiana Jones movies.
I had very high expectations for this movie, and I was completed disappointed. It was like some weird nightmare where Indiana Jones became Fox Mulder. This was a bad movie.
Great!
There was actually a great move there that was totally ruined over-the-top computer-generated special effects. The story was entertaining, the acting was good, and the dialogue was well written, but the special effects made the action sequences felt out of place; like watching a cartoon. It felt more like who framed Roger Rabbit than Indiana Jones.
I though it was thoroughly entertaining. Definately in the same league as the other three indy films.
A Great Return for a great movie hero, some of it felt like watching the old movies again, the ending was a bit strange and new grounds for this franchise, but i loved it anyways, Part i hated most was leaving the theatre when it was over. BRAVO
Actions seens were Awesome and for the rest of the movie....Just as good
