In A Savage Land
A husband and wife team of anthropologists venture off to do field research in pre-World
War II New Guinea. The wife, Evelyn (Stange) is confronted with a battle of the sexes,
disagreements with the islanders and a confrontation with a pearl trader who exploits the
locals.
But all this seems petty when WWII breaks and the Japanese invade the island.
