BRAZIL, 1971 - Brazil faces the tightening grip of a military dictatorship. Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres), a mother of five children, is forced to reinvent herself after her family is targeted by the government and her husband, a former congressman who opposed the establishment of the Brazilian dictatorship in 1964, is arrested and taken away.
