In 1968, an internationally renowned French film director unexpectedly lands in Abitibi, in the northwest of Québec, to conduct political and mass-media experiments. This event fuels the revolutionary tendencies of Michel, a local young man, and the desire to travel the world of Marie, his girlfriend.
After meeting Paul, a Montrealer part of the film director’s predominantly French crew, the couple embark on a social and identity quest through an entirely new technology: video. Personal conflicts result from theirs acts and encounters, leading Marie to ultimately ask herself, should I stay or should I go?
