A bakery owner from Boston attempts to bring America's favorite pastime to the people of Israel as filmmakers Brett Rapkin and Erik Kesten document his efforts to introduce baseball into a culture that has existed comfortably without it for 5,767 years. Larry Baras has a dream, and that dream is to create the first-ever Israeli baseball league.
Despite having no prior sports management experience, Baras somehow manages to recruit 120 diverse athletes for his burgeoning league.
As training gets underway and each of the players reveal their hopes and dreams for the future, the preparations for Opening Day are delayed by customs mix-ups, delayed stadium preparations, the skepticism of the Israeli media, and discontented players.
