Now in his fourth year at Hogwarts, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) finds himself mysteriously nominated to compete in the prestigious Triwizard tournament, an inter-school competition which pits a Hogwarts student against students from two other magical schools. Fleur Delacour (Clémence Poésy) from Beauxbatons Academy, Viktor Krum (Stanislav Ianevski) of Durmstrang Institute, and Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson) of Hogwarts are chosen to compete, but when Harry's name also comes out of the Goblet of Fire, it's decided that he'll compete as well, even though he's not a senior.
Although Harry doesn't want to compete and is mystified as to how his name got in there, the other students are miffed because they think Harry nominated himself.
When even Ron turns against Harry, Hermione remains his only friend. She tries to help him not only with the dangerous competitions, but to find out who nominated himand why.
