One morning in November 2001, under a judge's order, police arrive at Alain Marecaux's home. For the bailiff and father, this is the beginning of a terrible nightmare. Falsely accused of the sexual abuse of minors within a pedophile ring operating out of northern France and Belgium, Marecaux loudly proclaims his innocence. Despite the support of his family and the dedication of his lawyer, he's sentenced to prison. Psychologically affected, but determined to prove his innocence, he demands an appeal, but is denied. In protest, he embarks on a hunger strike.
