Paris, February 1999. Camille, 15, is so hopelessly in love with Sullivan, four years her senior, that she gets anxious when he's away from her for a second. The boy loves her but feels suffocated. He leaves to explore South America and when he's gone, Camille clings to the letters he sends, but a year later, the correspondence stops. Desperate, the girl attempts suicide. Four years pass. Now an architecture student, Camille falls in love with her teacher Lorenz, who is also a prominent architect. By 2007, their relationship is solid and they live together. When Sullivan crosses paths with Camille, the feelings she had for him return and she winds up cheating on Lorenz with her first love.
