This documentary offers a portrait of everyday citizens who live on the Gaza Strip, a small stretch of territory 40 km long and 12 km wide, home to two million Palestinians. The film focuses on two teenagers, Karma and Ahmed, from opposite ends of Gaza’s social divide. Ahmed, who dreams of becoming a fisherman, lives in a refuge camp while Karma lives with her parents and sisters in a plush apartment. We also meet a theater director who is putting on a play about social divides on the strip, a taxi driver, a restaurateur and twin wedding planners as we get a nuanced and complex portrait of life in this unique place.
