Returning to Haute-Gaspésie after several years in Montreal, filmmaker Nathalie Synnett gathers testimony from people her age (in their thirties) who live in this vast and depopulated corner of the country.
She notes that unemployment, school drop outs, drug-addiction and intolerance towards homosexuality lead many young people to despair, to leave, or even to attempt suicide.
She follows the lives of people who are trying to find their place in the world by returning to school, or by moving temporarily to Montreal, all the while expressing her fears vis-a-vis the serious economic and social situation of the area and hoping for its survival.
