Finally, somebody had the guts to show the non-Bush side of the story ...
Whether or not you agree with the views expressed in the film it is a must see. Definatly compelling. A true example of freedome of speech. This film`s reaction from Bush supporters is showing we need less censorship in North America. Come on people, the ability to express yourself is in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms as well as in the American Constitution
Excellent movie...finally someone has the guts to reveal the other side of the story...every American needs to see this show...perhaps then they will quit blindly following the leader de jeur.
Brilliant!!!If all this is truth than we should all be very scared!
It was awesome.... but! What about England? hmm... last time I checked they sent troops to Iraq too... other than that Moore has lived up to if not exceeded what true documentary reporting is. Also exposed the bias of American journalism. I wish one US Senator had supported the objections to W. Bush. The Senators are elected, next time one hopes they think twice! I feel bad for the America people not being allowed to express their freedoms in truly electing the President of the people for the people! So that is my two cents!
This was, without doubt, one of the best and most thought provoking shows/documentaries made.
I just saw Fahrenheit 9/11. Before I went to see it I researched things that were supposed to be in it. All I can say is I am so very proud and relieved to be a Canadian. I know everyone has their faults but yet some things could and should have been prevented. Alot of it was hard to watch..very sad and emotional. Nontheless, it was worth while. I am only 14 years old and yet I could understand what was going on because after the attacks I was glued to the news and realized so much. A must see movie, brilliant...critically the best documentary of all time. I suggest to those out there with the negative comments to further research the
Just an amazing movie. The way Moore presents the movie is so incredible. Maybe George Bush should give a try, and watch this movie. He would actually feel like an idiot, which is a good thing. I recommend this movie to all -- including the American government. Thank god i`m not American.
All the things presented in Fahrenheit 9/11 are actually very old ideas, just weeks after 9/11 there were people who were saying exactly what Micheal Moore says yet they were not taking seriously because mass media labeled it a "Conspiracy Theory" and people would discredit it. This may be a "shocker" to alot of people but the facts have been present for a very long time yet the people are so blind by what the media says that they would not go aside to learn scary facts untill they were presented in the media. This movie deserves a 2 Star rating because it is outdated by 3 years and most of the things presented are not his original concepts.
Moore has done everyone a favour by portraying the stupidity of the non-President and his lack of expertise. There is feeling throughout the whole movie and it really inspires people. Even those who don`t like Moore will come out talking about the movie and his impressive masterpiece. Everyone should see this just to add to the conversation.
This is quite possibly the most important film I have ever seen! Not since Oliver Stone`s JFK has the US Propaganda machine been challenged. This film inspires one to claim their country back from the crooks! A Must See!
let`s just say ...... im so glad that i am canadian and not american !
Amazing... very eye opening. Moore is definitely a genius to be able to combine humour & drama in a documentary.
Everyone should have to see this movie, especially Americans.
If you believe this moive is true...your more dumb then President Bush!
CANADA ROCKS! Amazing movies, sure it was biased but some of it was factual. For anyone who completely shuns this movie, you IGNORANT. Every highschool should play this for students to let them see whats going on, on our amazing planet (some parts better than others..Canada Vs. Iraq), and that war is REAL, not what you see on CNN!
I think it was a revolting look at how the American media is led around by the nose by politicians and special interests. The media then relates sound bites rather than actual news to the viewers and the result is a misinformed public that is fooled into believing their president is doing the right thing even though most of the world has a very different opinion.
If what he says is true, the United States has fallen for the Greatest Scam of the 21 st Century, and if thats the case, who is next? Is Micheal Moore`s film, Canadian Bacon, prophetic?? Will Canada be Next on Bush`s hit list? I Wonder. . . .
If only one third of the things stated by Michael are true, we live in a dark scary place.
Awesome! I`m glad I`m a Canadian, and not brainwashed! (like Bush followers!!!!)
I agree with a lot of the things shown in the film, but not with how Moore choose to approach them. Excellent points were made about being in Iraq when the focus should have been on Afghanistan, and showing civilians on both sides made things much more personal than they ever are on the news stations. However, Moore focused way too much on Bush and his faults. All in all, a good movie if you read between the lines.
It was good, but it got slow about 3/4 into it.
Although Michael is selective about his facts and the context in which they are presented, like any good writer he uses them to support a thesis. It is, of course, the thesis that counts. A fascinating look at the events prior to and after 9/11 and a glimpse at the lesser known machinations of the American electoral process.
This is an exceptional documentary. A must see for every American.
Clever use of sound bites and the master of taking things TOTALLY out of context..Worst moive of the year...Best fantasy movie is you really believe in B.S. like this kind of movie!!!
This movie did exactly what it was intended to do -- get us talking about something important. If one watches all the congressional hearings on 9/11, one would see that nothing in this film is new; in fact, these very question he makes light of are taken deadly seriously in those hearings, and the lack of answers is glaring. Of course Moore is biased, and why should he feel ashamed of it. Does anyone think for a moment that all the Media is NOT biased! You never get the facts in media, and often all you get is the "supportive chorus" echoing the views of the current leader (we endure this garbage in Canada all the time). It is like Moore said
I recently have seen Fahrenheit 9/11 and unfortuntately I went to the super late show which made me tired and unable to pay close attention as I would have earlier in the day. None the less, I really enjoyed Michaels views on the American government. All I can say is Im damn-well glad im Canadian and not being run by a man like Bush. Despite our recent problems with our government, it doesnt compare to Bush`s ignorant views and lack of proper decision making skills. I learned quite a bit from this movie. Despite the fact this movie is clearly biased, it still demonstrated the truth of Bush`s actions and ties with Iraq and the Saudi`s. A MUST-
Patriotic blindness is the sickness of America, and this film is the cure. Everyone should see this film, although thoughtfully biased, it will open your eyes.
i was insulted by moores poor and unprofessional film where by it slashed bushes reputation not that i am a fan of bush but i was disgusted with moores comments that slandered and poorly represented bushes time working for the people, although he might have made a few or many mistakes, so does everyone else, there was no way he could have predicted that 9/11 was going to happen and what caused it, and what links he might have had to it. Moores film was a film featuring his own opinion, anyone can have an opinion and decide what a person did wrong and see the wrongs in others but not everyone can run a country, i would like to see moore attemp
Excellent
Godfather was brilliant but FAHRENHEIT 9/11 was masterpiece
best documentary.nuff said
disgusting! where is the respect that we were taught to have for others regardless of what we thought of their policies. And to make fun of the president is showing a lack of respect. Could any of us do a better job? Not likely.
Funnily Horrific...
i thought it was wonderful..and funny.i feel this moive fills in alot of blanks and unanswered questions.
meh, it wasnt as good as i thot it would be. The movie was also weaker than i expected.
for those of us who know the true stories, we know that this is NOT the true story.
this movie is worth seeing it`s better than bowling for columbine
I thought this movie was amazing and made me realize that I`m proud to be Canadian. I think this is the first movie that I have been in where the whole audience was involved in the movie. I have never seen a bunch of movie goers stand up and applude a movie before. Cudos to Moore for a great movie. I hope thare are more in the future
It`s too bad Mr. Bush will not be viewing this movie, as i`m sure he`ll be on vacation at his ranch, or golfing, or fishing, or whatever else he does when he doesn`t want to play president.
Politics is a lot more than it seems. Although this is a brilliant movie, it still only accounts for one man`s opinion on the entire political situation. But non the less, a terrific movie.
Very good. I liked it!
Silly Americans. Always getting themselves into too much trouble to handle. Great movie. THE TRUTH.
If you loved this movie and want to know more. Read "Dude, where`s my Country".
I went and saw this movie yesterday and I really liked it. Bush was just asking for Moore to bring him down when he claimed himself to be a "war president". I also thought that the ending with bush`s attempt at an old saying was priceless!
I thoought it was an amazing bash against bush and im canadian and i just saw it last night and i totally agree with i saw it with my dad im 12 years old but i can completly understand it it was amazing.
Brilliant!
Moore’s greatest contribution to the national debate is that he pulls back the veil on the bloodshed of a war that has been sanitized for the American public’s consumption.
Moore`s ability to kick off a debate -- even a vicious one -- remains priceless, as do his gifts for ridicule, for wringing laughs, shock and tears from his subjects and for shedding a spotlight on ordinary Americans.
It was Very Well put together! The part that I wanted Highlighted was the Mother in Iraq crying about her dead son!!! But it Really underscores the fact that Why is there wars. One mother on one side agonizes that her son may die at any time and on the other side another Mother/Father is agonizing as well. I know that almost all wars could be Prevented if most parties would just sit and talk about their differences. There is so many ways to Solve a conflict. Just like in the SpiderMan movie people ocasionally walk by me to bump against me, but I do NOT harm them, just like Toby didn`t in the movie.
