When Matthew Boger was just 13 years old, he was thrown out of his house for being gay. Living on the streets of Hollywood, Matthew was left to fend for himself. Soon after, he was attacked by a gang of neo-Nazi skinheads and left for dead.

Twenty-five years later, Matthew ran into Tim Zaal, one of his attackers. The two started talking and soon found themselves on a journey to forgiveness which made the two come to terms with their fears and beliefs. Through this journey the pair found themselves forming a bond and an unlikely friendship.
