Chile, 1940s. Young Alejandro Jodorowsky gives up his medical studies in order to become a poet, even though his parents are dismayed by his decision. The young rebel becomes a part of a bohemian circle of artists where he meets his first love, Stella Diaz, a punk poetess. He then befriends poet and novelist Enrique Linh, who encourages him.
