Days Before the Millennium (Páihuái niándài)
In 1996, a woman from rural Vietnam immigrates to marry a Taiwanese man in search of a better life. After he loses his job, her husband becomes violent, and she has nowhere to go. Two decades later, another Vietnamese woman traces her life.
