Blessed with astonishing power and poise, Sergei Polunin took the dance world by storm and at 19, became the Royal Ballet's youngest ever principal. He was called "The Most Gifted Male Dancer of His Generation" by The Observer. The Daily Telegraph called him "The James Dean of the Ballet World."

Just three years later, at the peak of his success, he walked away, driven to the brink of self-destruction by stardom - his talent more a burden than a gift.

The story takes a look at Sergei's beginnings, as a little boy with a passion for ballet. His family moved around the world in order to support his dream and he doubled his practice hours in an effort to get his family back together.
