Over the course of 11 weeks, U.S. documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman filmed inside Paris' Crazy Horse strip club as the performers prepare Desire, a revue by choreographer Philippe Decouflé. The director goes behind the scenes of the Parisian cabaret, world renowned for the quality of its nude shows, to meet the dancers, costume designers and lighting designers, as well as filming the recording session of the revue's theme song, written by Philippe Katerine. The audience also witnesses Decouflé's frustration during meetings with Crazy Horse's conservative managers and shareholders, who don't always share his bold artistic vision.
