Before Trey Parker and Matt Stone created "South Park" they made this comedy about the true story of a group of Colorado pioneers who ate one another... and sang. In the winter of 1874, Alferd Packer led a group of five men on a quest for gold in the Colorado Rockies. He was the only one to survive the trip. Months after he arrived in Saguache, Colorado, the mutilated bodies of his party were found near Lake Fork Gunnison. Packer denied that he killed the men and placed the blame on one of the other party members, Wilson Shannon Bell. Packer claimed to have killed Bell in self-defense, and only resorted to cannibalism as a means of survival during the harsh winter.
