Rich Bower is a mover and shaker in rap music. Everyone likes to chill at his "crib" including a group of white kids who want to be part of the cool scene. When Rich's friend Dean (Allan Houston, of the New York Knicks) takes bait from Mark (Ben Stiller), an NYPD cop who is trying to dig dirt up on Rich, Rich has Dean murdered by one of his white homies.
This sets the scene for a look at the fascination that some white teenagers have with the urban hip hop culture.
